What can I say, YUM! I added a bit more sugar. (my berries were VERY tart) Other than that, I kept it true to the recipe. My family devoured it.

It was good, next time I will add more flour to the berries as they were not thick at all. Also, this made the dumplings a little soggy

This was divine!! I did as other reviewers had. I added cinnamon and vanilla to the topping, as well as 1 1/2 the recipe for the top. I also cut the sugar by almost 1/2 and it didnt take but 20 min. to bake. We will be making this again and again.

I tried this recipe because it was so much easier that rolling out the dough as I usually do, and the reviews were so good...but My family and I didn't care for this. The crust was cakey, so this is probably personal preference. We like the rolled crusts with some strips dropped in the berries before cooking. This was kind of dry, not juicy. Sorry, but I will stay with my own cobbler.

We loved this recipe. I took others' advice and decreased the sugar by 1/2 cup & added 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla to the dough and fruit. I also sprinked cinnamon to both. I used a 9" iron skillet and it was the perfect size. I used frozen blackberries, can't wait for summer for fresh berries.

I made this for a dinner party, making 1.5 times the recipe. I had a few blueberries so I added them to my blackberries. I would have liked a less biscuit like crust and like other reviewers have said, double the crust mixture. I would have added an extra tbsp of cornstarch as my cobbler juices were really runny. Overall a good recipe, maybe next time I'll add a couple dashes of cinnamon. Great with ice cream!

A very easy and delicious recipe for cobbler. The only thing I did differently was, as many have reviewed, to use less sugar. It was the first time I've ever tried making cobbler and I was surprised how easy it was with this great recipe. I've made it twice already with the blackberries and have even tried using fresh peaches and loved it. Highly recommended!

Very yummy with the changes other suggested; One-half the sugar in the berries and 1.5 times the topping. Comfort food at its best.

Fantastic - tasted like the cobbler my granny used to make. I put in some thin sliced granny smith apples but followed the recipe for the rest. 5 stars!!!!!

This recipe was a hit with my family but we cut the sugar in half and it was still sweet enough. I think it needs a bit more water in the berry mixture so the dumplings remain doughy underneath.

Wow this cobbler is excellent! I halved the recipe so that it made just 3-4 servings since no one needs more than one serving of cobbler around here! I just cooked the blackberries in a pot on the stove and transferred them to a 1 qt dish, cooked for about 15 mins or when the top was golden. Wonderful!

We are lucky enough to have many blackberry bushes near our house and are able to pick enough to freeze for the winter. I increase the number of berries to 6 cups and boil them in a pot on the stove, then transfer the mixture to a 7 x 10 glass dish. I also add 1 tsp almond extract and 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the topping. OUTSTANDING!!! I have one in the oven as I type this review.

I used a 16 oz. bag of frozen blackberries and followed another reviewer's idea of putting some vanilla in the dough and cinnamon in the berries. I followed everything else to a "T"...it was soooo delicious! I've only made it once, and I'm already giving the recipe away to those who enjoyed it!

I'm not a big blackberry fan, but I really enjoyed this recipe. I never knew to actually cook the blackberries. I think this recipe would be great with strawberries as well. This recipe would be great warm with vanilla beam ice-cream and a cold glass of milk! I took this cobbler into work and let it sit on the table in the middle of my team. It was gone by the time I left work. And due to the holidays there was only 3 on my team, which meant that 3 people ate the whole cobbler. The only thing I may change is to add a little bit more sugar to the batter. Other than that, it was great!

I just finished up making this for our New Year's Day celebration tomorrow. This recipe was easy to follow, and the smell that came from my oven was amazing!!! I grabbed a tiny little bite to taste and it is GREAT. The recipe as written originally is awesome, and the only change I made was to add a dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract to the berry mixture. I am sure I will be making this again and again...so easy and such a nice dessert to put out for guests with a little vanilla ice cream!

This is an awesome recipe. Everyone said it was the best cobbler they ever had. The cobbler was eaten before the pumpkin pie. I also added vanilla in the dough and berries. I adjusted my recipe to fit a 8 x 11 1/2 pyrex pan. Using the frozen mixed berries from costco worked really well. I will use this recipe again. A keeper.
