My hummus was way too soupy. I added a roasted red pepper but I wouldn't think that would make it soupy. Adding the drained liquid from the can of beans made them particularly memorable for my family even after I ate them, if you know what I mean. If I make this again I will drain and rinse the beans and not add the liquid from the can.

This is a wonderful alternative to traditional hummus. I've also made it with about 1/2 & 1/2 black beans and garbanzos ('cause that's what I had). It came out very good--thicker and with more heft.

Very good. I added more beans to make the hummus thicker, but made no other adjustments. It was better after sitting overnight in the fridge. Will make it again.

I'll be honest...I started out looking for a black bean dip to accompany my fajita dinner when I came across this and decided to tweak this a bit to fit what I wanted. I simply opened the can of beans, drained them then dumped them in the food processor, added a LARGE clove of garlic, cumin & salt and blended away. Then I nuked them in the microwave for about 3 minutes and stirred in about a 1/4th cup of salsa...It was just what I was looking for! I love hummus too, so I can wait to try it as written. Thanks for the great recipe!

I am crazy about this hummus! I've been making it for several months now, and never get sick of it. Not only is it delicious, it's lower in fat than other hummus recipes since there's no added oil. Thanks for sharing it!

This is absolutely THE BEST hummus! Very good flavor. It's great on everything from carrot sticks to blue corn tortilla chips. My husband likes to schmear is on a bagel.

I found this recipe to be quick and worth a try, but I will be careful to follow it more closely next time and use less tahini. I also think there are not enough herbs in it and that a bit more cumin or something may have helped.I will probably make this again.
