Original Recipe Yield 1 cup spread
 

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 cup prepared tomato salsa, hot or mild
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon Morton® Nature's Seasons® Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Flour tortilla
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

  1. Mash the black beans with a fork until smooth puree forms. Combine with remaining ingredients until smooth. Use as a dip with tortilla chips. Or use for Southwestern Pizza.
  2. To prepare Southwestern Pizza, spread Seasoned Black Bean Dip over large flour or corn tortilla. Top with shredded Monterey Jack cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is hot.
