When we were kids, our favorite dessert at Grandma's house was Bird's Nest Pie. Maybe we were fascinated by the name of the treat, but that can't be the only reason we liked it--there were never any leftovers! This family recipe was handed down from my great-grandmother.

Crunchy Chinese noodles and melted marshmallows make the cutest little nests for your jelly beans. Great as place markers at Easter dinner.

Almond Macaroon Nests

This is a tradition at Easter in our family! A delicate butter cookie, decorated with colored coconut to look like a little nest and filled with chocolate covered almonds or peanuts. I like to color the coconut by placing it into a jar with the food coloring. Just close the lid and shake until colored. No messy hands!

A barnyard birthday party just wouldn't be complete without cow pies! The kids loved 'em once they got a taste of these yummy treats packed with raisins and almonds and covered in rich milk chocolate. --Karen Kenney, Harvard, Illinois
