Original Recipe Yield 1 - 1 pound loaf
 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, soak the oats in hot water for 2 minutes. Stir in the molasses and butter.
  2. Add oat mixture along with salt, bread flour, and yeast to the pan of the bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select the cycle for White Bread, and the Light crust setting. Start.
