I made this without the smoke flavour as I don't have any right now and LOVED IT. I put it on BBQ'd hamburgers - great. I put it on pulled pork - fabulous. I put it on beef and veggie BBQ'd kebobs - very good. Easy to make and well worth it. Will be making many times!

This was a good and easy BBQ sauce. I spread it on some link sausage just before it was done cooking and it was great. Kansas city bbq sauce is a little sweet for me but if that is what you want this is definetely your recipe. Very easy and un-time consuming.

Don't change a thing, this recipe is perfect as is. Just the right amount of heat, even for children (3 & 8 yrs old). I will never buy another bottle of bbq sauce agian.

Made this as a dipping sauce for meatballs, not sure what went the fastest, the sauce or the meatballs. Can't wait to try it on ribs.

I have tasted many homemade sauces before and just wondered... what's the point? I now am a believer. I tasted the sauce while on the stove and felt a shiver of flavor satisfaction surge through my body... not an experience I have ever had before. This sauce is perfect.

OH MY GOSH this is outstanding and so simple! I did'nt have the molasses so I subbed dark corn syrup and it is amazing- I can't stop licking the spoon! Also left out the celery seed- I so can not wait to make more recipes with this, as I'm using it as a dip for chicken tenders tonight. YUM!

This is my go-to BBQ sauce!! It's delicious on everything, chicken, ribs, pork BBQ. I've used it as the sauce for a barbecue chicken pizza and it was awesome. I just can't get enough of it. I do leave out the celery seed simply b/c I never have it onhand but I really don't miss it. Thanks Big Al for a super BBQ sauce.

It was good enough to eat, but not good enough to make again. The sauce had way too much vinegar.

Absolutely the best BBQ sauce I have ever tasted. Followed the recipe exactly and it was even better the next day! Canned half the recipe in hot boiled mason jar until it sealed, put in fridge and opened it again in 3 weeks and it was the best!

First of all I can't believe I actually had all of the ingredients for this recipe. Secondly, it is outstanding. the longer it cooks the thicker it gets. I used on chicken and can see using it on just about any meat.

Incredible BBQ sauce. Probably the best I have had. The only alteration I made was using apple cider vinegar instead of red wine. I didn't have any red wine vinegar on hand. Even with the alteration the recipe was out of this world. This recipe is a keeper.

Fabulous! I didn't have the molasses (but I do for next time) so I subbed Pure Maine Maple Syrup and omitted the brown sugar because of the sweetness of the syrup. Otherwise I made the recipe as is and it was SO GOOD! Sweet and Tangy. Next time I will use the molasses and see which combo I like better. I served this on pulled chicken breast sandwiches for me (Hub had his with NO bread). I just added the two shredded chicken breasts into the sauce pan with my sauce (which I had scaled to 12) and let it simmer for a few minutes. I was extremely happy with the results. Thank you so much for sharing this!
