Excellent! It's almost like the secret recipe wing sauce from the pizza places I grew up working at (small, private store) except a bit more thicker and more rib bbq type whereas that other secret recipe is more of a "sticky" sauce

This is really good bbq sauce. I used this on chicken with the dry rub recipe. It was the best I have ever grilled. Everybody loved it. Excellent on everything I have tried it on. It makes a bunch so make sure you have something to store it in.

So I'm a vegetarian. But I was looking for a barbeque sauce to make barbeque beef sandwiches with for my family. I slow cooked bottom round all day, shredded it, and then added this sauce. I served it with big kaiser rolls. I can't speak for myself but everyone loved it. They said the sauce was amazing!

This is the perfect bbq sauce. At first I thought it smelled too vinegary, but it ended up just right. I used it with the Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork recipe (the one that calls for root beer and bbq sauce) and Belle's hamburger buns. The color of the sauce is superb, the flavor tangy and sweet.

What a fantastic sauce! I had my first attempt at making BBQ beef brisket recently and thought I'd serve this sauce on the side. Rave reviews! Even by those who claimed not to like BBQ sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Really, really good. I could not stop tasting it as it cooked. I cooked it earlier in the day and let it sit to blend the flavors. Yummy!

Best BBQ sauce EVER! I like it better with a little less liquid smoke than the recipe calls for. It's also delish if you cut back on the molasses and add honey. I have better luck gradually sweetening it so it doesn't get too sweet.

This sauce is AWESOME! I was walking through the grocery store buying ingredients and had to stop in the aisle with all the pre-made BBQ Sauces. I stopped and looked at the hundreds of brands and types and thought to myself "is this really worth it? Look at all this stuff." The answer is a resounding "YES!" it was worth it.

This bbq sauce was AWESOME!!!! This is the first time I'd made bbq sauce and it turned out fantastic!!! I didn't have any liquid smoke so I used worcestershire sauce instead. I also didn't have any onion powder or celery seed so I used onion salt and celery salt and just omitted the salt it called for. I put this in the slow cooker with some chicken and made shredded bbq chicken sandwhiches. My husband loved this sauce and we will won't be getting bbq sauce from the store any more!! Thank you for such a wonderful recipe!!!!

This sause is AWESOME! I've made other BBQ sauces found on this site and none compared! I followed the recipe exactly except for the celery seed because I didn't have any. I substituted with celery salt and omitted the salt called for.

This recipe really is as good as everyone says. I reduced the recipe by 4, and this made plenty of sauce, enough to fill a 16 oz bottle. The only changes I made were in eliminating 1 tbsp sugar (I used raw sugar), and by adding 1/4 tsp mustard powder and a dash of allspice. I didn't have celery seed, so I left it out. I also used organic ketchup, which I feel gives it a better flavor, as it is made with raw sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. I have used the recipe as a dipping sauce for grilled steak and also on bbq chicken pizza. The sauce was amazing in both cases. The sauce was so good that I am now making another batch to use on baby back ribs.

Great recipe! Sweet in the beginning with a small kick in the end. I added a little extra cayenne pepper, and only a half cup of the vinegar.

Delicious! Just the right combination of sweet and tangy. I've made this sauce several times to use as my barbecue sauce for slow cooker barbecue chicken. Any leftover sauce freezes awesomely.

I made this sauce exactly as directed and it was WONDERFUL! I made pulled pork in my crockpot using a beef broth and coffee mixture, put the sauce over the pork when it was done, tossed it in the fridge overnight and then reheated it the next day. I have never gotten so many compliments on a recipe before! Better than any resteraunt pulled pork.
