I had smoked a Top Sirloin Roast and with the leftovers, I made BBQ beef using this sauce recipe exactly as is. I sliced the roast, added sauce and placed in a 250 degree oven for about two hours.

This was very easy to make. I did not have red wine vinegar so I had to substitute apple cider vinegar and it tasted fine. Its kind of like KC Masterpeice with some yummy vinegar tang to it. I liked this a lot, I used to to make pulled pork sandwiches in the crockpot. Im pretty sure I wont be buying bottled sauce again :)

I am writing this as the ribs are in the oven. It is -20 outside and we will be having AWESOME bbq ribs for dinner. We followed the recipe to the "T" and it is soooo good. I nibbled here and there. So good.

WOW! If you change the serving size to 18 you can use up one 8oz can of tomato sauce and you end up with about 2 cups of BBQ sauce.

This is an amazing bbq sauce. I had boiled some ribs, put them in a crock pot and poured this sauce over the top. I cooked it all day and it was delish!!! Hubby said they are the best ribs and sauce he ever tasted. My company also thought they were excellent. Great sauce!!

A very nice sauce. I choose not to use liquid smoke and cayenne. Instead, use a heaping teaspoon of chipotle powder. You still get the smoke and the heat with this simple substitution.

This sauce is absolutely fantastic! I don't think I'll ever use store bought sauce again. We eat it all the time with pork BBQ and I can't wait to have it on grilled chicken or ribs. It's very very easy to make and so good! The perfect compliment of sweet and spice. Thanks so much for sharing!

Fantastic! I'll back off the red wine vinegar a little next time. Because I can't readily buy liquid smoke here (I'm in Europe) I think the vinegar was a bit overwhelming. So I'll add half next time and go up from there. But absolutely the best and tastiest sauce even without liquid smoke! I used it with shredded left over pot roast (chuck roast), added some fried onions and fried bell peppers, mixed it all up and served it with some cheese on a nice hoagie roll. Excellent sauce!

This is an amazing BBQ sauce recipe! Also, this was my first time making homemade sauce and it went without a hitch - beginners should definitely try this out and it will make people think you've been cooking for years! A couple of things. I didn't have celery seed or paprika, so I just eliminated them from the recipe. I had liquid smoke but accidently purchased mesquite flavor instead of hickory. I happen to like a little kick to the sauce, so I added some crushed red peppers. The alterations didn't take away from the flavor - it is a great recipe.

Without a doubt the best barbecue sauce recipe I've been able to find. I added 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard, and 1/8 cup worcestshire sauce to make it fit my taste a little better, but very, very good.

Excellent. Instead of using tomato sauce, I used 1/4 cup Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce and omitted the cayenne.
