Put this on BBQ chicken and beef, tasted good but no one at the party even noticed it was not just the store bought jar stuff...so very tasty but not sure worth the effort.

The best BBQ sauce I've ever had. My husband and I tried this recipe, and now we can't buy BBQ sauce at the store. A very easy recipe. We store the BBQ sauce in the fridge to use later. I left the cayenne pepper out and it was just fine. If you like a sweet tangy sauce, this is the one.

Absolutely PERFECT!! I made this to tase-test for serving BBQ Pork sandwiches for my husband's birthday party. I've tried so many bottled sauces and another from scratch. This is IT!! I didn't have tomato sauce so I used 1 can of paste plus 1.5 cans of water. Otherwise I followed the recipe. AMAZING!

Fantastic sauce! I have made this twice now-once without the liquid smoke (because I did not have any in the house) and once with it. The liquid smoke makes all the difference in this recipe. Without it the recipe needed a lot of tweaking. However, this time I followed the recipe as written and it was wonderful. It has a little something for everyone-it's sweet but not too sweet and it has a little kick-it's perfect!

A SUPER SAUCE! very easy to make. good on everything. i didn't have any paprika on hand, so i added a half tsp of hot sauce (chili pepper based). WOW!!! it gave it a nice zing. next time i think i'll cut down the molasses by a third and use honey as well... i did find it to be a tad too sweet for my taste, but all around great.

Great, best sauce I have ever tasted. Used it on spareribs yesterday I will never buy the bottled stuff again. Cinnamon, who would have thought? I just happened to have all the ingredients on hand and no bbq sauce, so I tried this. Fantastic

Excellent! I was light on the cayenne and chilli powder for the kids, and used apple cider vingegar instead, but it was great. Hubby loved it on pulled pork.

I found this sauce to be really really good!! I stuck to the recipe exactly except didn`t have celery seed. It cooked up wonderfully and tasted delicious. I have used it on ribs and chicken sofar and look forward to using it again. It has a wonderful full smoky flavour with a nice thickness to it. Thanks for sharing a great BBQ sauce!!

Definitetly a crowd pleaser! This was a star at our latest BBQ. I will make Big Al's sauce again, and will make it in large quantities for giving away in the family gift baskets this Holiday Season. The only change I will make is for my personal use, and I would increase the cayenne or decrease the cinnamon. That's just personal preference...the sauce is PHENOMENAL as is.

Oh my goodness! You can stop looking for BBQ sauce recipes. This is it! It is a cut above any BBQ sauce I've ever made. I made it as written. Everytime I even think about this sauce, my salivary glands go into overdrive. Unforgettable!

My husband grilled chicken and used this BBQ sauce. OMG! it was delish. I'm not real big on liquid smoke so he cut it back alot (will add more next time) everyone raved how good it was. This is our new BBQ sauce.

This is by far, the best barbeque sauce in the world! I will use nothing else but this for our pulled pork sandwiches. This is one of those recipes that doesn't need any tweeking. Use as is and you'll have some happy eaters!

This is a great recipe. Even though I used white vinegar (which made the sauce a little sharper than it probably would be with the red...), I thought it was great. Upon a second try, I cut down the vinegar (as I still didn't have any red-wine vinegar), and added about 1/2 tsp of cumin (this was in a 24 serving recipe), which turned out quite well, adding just a little more flavor to this, already great, recipe. Thanks!

This was a great recipe. My family says no more bottle sauce, this is a must from now on. I didn't change a thing about the recipe and it was perfect on my short ribs.

Great sauce, will use again. I was out of tomato sauce so I doubled the ketchup. It was a little too sweet, so if I have to use ketchup again I'll cut down the brown sugar.

Thanks for sharing your recipe. I was short a couple ingredients - the smoke & celery seed, but it still worked out great. Everyone enjoyed it, including my husband - that never eats BBQ sauce!
