We all love this cake in our family. Our 8 year-old son was mortified at the name, so we call it the "Yummiest Cake Ever" when we make it.

Great Recipe. I made two small round cakes. Poked holes in first layer poured sauce then toffee crumbles then added second layer poked holes and added toffee crumbles the refrigerated for a bit ( so the cake wouldn't slpit or fall) then iced with whipped topping drizzled caramel and sprinkled toffee bits. It really is beautiful.

I LOVE this recipe: so easy, but tastes SOOO good!!! Not very expensive either. This is now a family favorite, in a family that is not generally fond of cakes. We substitute Butterfinger bars (chopped) for the toffee, and you can't really add too much caramel, so we put in extra. We've also found that it tastes GREAT the 2nd day, after the cake has had a chance to "marinate" in the caramel sauce!!

Make it with yellow cake mix instead. Much better. For show, sprinkle some heath/scor bar on top of the whipped cream!

This has always been a favorite of mine, but a few revisions I've made is after the first 10 minutes of baking the cake mix, I sprinkle chocolate chips throughout the cake, then place back into the oven and bake the remainder of the time. Another change is that I use HOMEMADE whipped cream (whipping cream, vanilla & sugar beat @ a high speed)instead of premade whipped topping. SOO much better!!

I have lots of requests for this cake and make it often. The only thing that I do different is that I have not been able to find Heath bars around here but I did find "Heath Bits-o-Brickle" in a bag on the aisle with chocolate chips so this is what I use. Another option is to use crushed up butterfinger candy bars in place of the toffee bits - YUM! YUM!

I made this cake a loooong time ago when I saw Paula Deen make the recipe. I can't remember if I used caramel sauce or chocolate syrup, I'm thinking chocolate syrup. But I know either way is "better than sex". This cake is sooo good, and so simple. I recommend it to any chocolate lover. 5 stars!

The photo is confusing. The recipe calls for a 9x13 inch pan, but the photo shows a round pan. Doesn't anybody have a better photo of a cake sliced?

This cake was absolutely delicious! Even my brother, who hates cakes, really enjoyed it. I did make a couple changes to the recipie. Right when the cake came out I, like others, poked holes in the cake with the back of a wooden spoon. I filled the holes with carmel. Then covered the cake with a thin layer of the carmel and condensed milk mixture. Also, Instead of candy, i cut strawberris thinly and covered the entire cake with a layer of strawberry's, then coverd them with cool whip, and put more strawberries on top and sprinkled it with heath candy pieces. it was sooo good, the strawberries really add an explovsive taste to the cake.

This is probably my favorite cake! It is the first time I've made it. Next time I will use the entire can of sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce because half just wasn't enough.

I love the idea of doctoring up cake mixes to make them taste homemade....but this tastes just like what the ingredients are...a boxed cake with caramel, sweet milk and toffee dumped all over it. Not that great, but okay. Couldn't get past the overpowering boxed cake flavor (and texture). There are tons of doctored-up boxed cake recipes from this website that are out of this world, but this is not one of them. I guess this recipe might be good for a teenager or college student that's just learning how to cook, but I would never make this and serve to guests.

I used all of the caramel and condensed milk. I also used homemade whipped cream instead of cool whip. The cake was gone in seconds. Delicious!
