I didn't have a cake cover so mistakenly used Saran Wrap. The icing stuck to the plastic wrap even though it was loosly applied which altered the pretty appearance of the cake. Aside from my human error, though, a great tasting cake. Next time I'll add more chocolate/toffee bars (used three Skor bars this time).

This is such a deliciously decadent desert. To make it even easier, I whisk together the canned milk and carmel topping and pour it directly on the cake while it's still warm. It's wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

Yummy, yummy, yummy.....my husband and boys loved this cake. This cake didn't stand a chance in my home. I have found a hit for the home. I also think it tasted better the next day.

Yummy dessert that was devoured by everyone! I did use a full 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk, a full 10 oz. jar of caramel ice cream topping, and Skor bars. Hubby swears it tasted even better the next day. :)

I didn't read the recipe closely until I actually made this. I thought this was a pudding/cake/whipped topping type dessert. It is more of a *very good chocolate cake* that has been taken up a few notches. Everyone enjoyed the added crunch and creamy whipped-cream with the moist, sweet chocolate cake cake. Will make again, when wanting a very good, moist chocolate cake.

I have made this cake a few times before and it never turned out like my moms, so I finally decided to look up the recipe and now realize Ive been doing it wrong the whole time!! :) The cake turned out perfect and was the perfect end to a great dinner!

I just made this cake and it's AWESOME! My 8 yr old didn't like the name though. :0) So we renamed it a G rated name: Better Then Having to Go to Bed Cake. lolol I followed the recipe up to the Whipped Topping. My 8 yr old doesn't like it so I substituted it with a jar of marshmallow fluff. I also used a 1/2 bag of Heath broken candy pieces instead of buying the candy bars (less expensive that way). Thanks for sharing!

********This is wondeful!!! I made a 9x13 One Bowl Chocolate Cake III (recipe from this site) instead of using a box mix baked at 350 for 40 mins. After pouring the condensed milk/carmel mix on the cake I left it in the frige over night and then I used the rest of the jar of carmel mixed with 2 tbls milk, warmed it up and spead it all over the top of the cake and topped with the crushed choc bars and whipped topping. This was a huge hit at my office. Will make again!

This is a sure winner. I add only half the caramel though, because it ends up too sweet for my taste buds. It's one of those "died and gone to heaven" cakes.

I made this for a get together of mostly men and they couldn't stop complimenting this cake... or eating it! I used German chocolake cake mix by accident which I won't do next time. I also followed other reviewers suggestion and used the whole can of condensed milk and extra caramel topping. This will be a staple for future gatherings!

This is a pretty good recipe- but if you pour the caramel directly on the cake and then beat the eagle brand with 8oz of cream cheese until smooth and use that for another layer... you'll be shocked at the difference it will make. When I make it I also mix chocolate pudding with the cool whip b/c my husband doesn't like cool whip topping... it really is fabulous, and very hard to beat.
