Excellent! I made this with both swiss & sharp cheddar cheese & the cheddar cheese got more votes! I also used english muffins versus bread, which was very yummy! Will definately make again!

This was great for a busy weeknight. I had everything in my pantry and needed to use up some rye bread and swiss cheese left from patty melts. I modified the cooking method and buttered the bread and put them down on a stovetop grill and then placed cheese on each side. I heated the tuna mixture in the microwave and spread it over one side, topping with the other cheese toast. (I didn't add the tomato.) Then I turned the sandwich several times to grill it. Tasted great again the second time a few nights later. Makes 5 generous sandwiches.

My husband says this is a keeper! I gave it 4 stars because I modified it to our tastes. Added 1 Tbsp. sweet relish and used jalapeno monterey jack cheese on italian loaf bread. Then I grilled it in my cast iron pan.

Everyone enjoyed it. It was dry when when mixing but resisted adding extra mayo as advised by a previous reviewer and was glad I did. It was plenty moist. I only had sliced munster cheese. It was good but I wouldn't use it again. The swiss sounded better. Even cheddar would have been a better choice. Will make this one again.

I used provolone rather than swiss and seeded rye with roma tomatoes -- very good!

This is a very simple sandwich. It was great with a rye/pumpernickle marble bread.

I made this tonight with the golden potato soup from this site. Very simple and tasty. I made quite a few changes. Instead of red wine vinegar, i used white vinegar (i didnt have any red). I used french bread and mozarella cheese inplace of swiss and rye bread. Very good, a keeper.

I've never been too fond of tuna sandwiches but this has changed my thinking. It will go into my favorites file. The only negative thing I could come up with would be that it is messy, but well worth it!

Great recipe! I added some chopped pickles and used colby jack cheese instead (just because that's all I had) and used wheat bread, it was spectacular.

Man were these fantastic! I loved the upscale taste of this twist on an old classic. I didn't have red wine vinegar so just used balsamic and it was just fine. I also hate tomatoes so left them out without a problem. My only suggestion...make as much as you can!!
