Quite good. Very easy to pull together. My only change to the recipe was that I added frozen peas with carrots, not just peas. I will say that this recipe makes a lot of food, much more than what I would call 6 servings. I think if you cut it in half it would easily feed a family of four. As is, I have an enormous chunk left over. I would probably use less egg noodle as well, just for my own taste.

We liked this even though I over cooked it a bit. I think next time I will layer potato chips in the middle and some on top. I will make this again for sure!

This was so yummy. We picked the recipe because of the potato chip topping, thinking it was a neat idea. The whole thing was amazing. Thanks for a wonderful recipe. It has gotten added to our regular rotation of meals.

I love tuna and just haven't found a great casserole until now. I will definitely make this over and over again. The title of this recipe suits it well. The only thing i changed was the topping. I used crumbled Ritz crackers instead of potato chips.

I followed the recipe exactly for the first time trying it. My husband and I thought is was good but not great. I thought it needed a little something else but I'm not sure what. The potato chips do give it a nice crunch though. I will try this again using some of the tips posted on this site.

I went into this hesitantly because hubby is no fan of casseroles and my teenage son would run if he heard the word "tuna", so nobody knew 'what' was for dinner. I placed it on the table, served it up, and it was hit with everyone and I know I'll make this again.

Great casserole! I even seriously botched the recipe and it still turned out great LOL. I didn't have enough onion, forgot the mushrooms, was going to go by someone elses review and add extra cream of mushroon soup but forgot to pick some up so used a cream of chicken i had in the cupboard and just as i had put it in the oven i realized i forgot to put the tuna in LOL! So stirred in the tuna and re-added the cheese and chip topping LMAO! Sooo off my game today :) Thanks for sharing!

This dish was very yummy and easy to make. I did make a few alterations. I added extra cheese and milk to the noodle mixture along with corn and peas (instead of just peas) and added more cheese to the top of the mixture with bread crumbs instead of potato chips. The extra milk and cheese really helped with the "dryness" problem that everyone else has been talking about. I do want to try it with potato chips on top - i just didn't have them handy at the time. I was a little scared about adding the can of cream of mushroom soup to it because neither me nor my husband like mushrooms but fortunately we couldn't taste them at all! Overall it was a very tasty dish and i will make it again. :)

If you are looking for a CLASSIC tuna casserole recipe this is it!! Very good...BUT after reading reviews I made a one change that I think is necessary. It needs more liquid. I used 3 cans of soup for mine, instead of 2 AND added about a cup of milk. I can't imagine that it would be anything but bone dry otherwise! Also, I mixed in the 2 cups of cheese and added a tiny bit more to the top under the recommended layer of potato chips.

This was well enjoyed by the tuna eaters. Made serving for 9 with 16oz bag pasta and 12x15 pan. Will put top cheese on at the end of baking next time -- too brown.

Great "base" for easy tuna fish. We always add an extra can of cream of CHICKEN and some sour cream for moisture, and French onions instead of potato chips. If you don't like to "notice" your chopped onions then sautee them for a bit. It's easy, tasty, and not that bad for you either!

I put in extra cheddar cheese and made a vegetarian version with faux chicken for myself. We all loved it. Great comfort food.

Fantastic recipe! The only change I made - which I HIGHLY recommend - was substituting out the cream of mushroom soup. Instead, I used a corn & roasted pepper soup from Trader Joe's. Fabulous!!

Best tuna casserole I've ever tasted. I added a little half and half to make it creamier and topped with French's onions since I didn't have potato chips. My kids do not care for tuna and they really enjoyed this. A definite keeper!!

This is a great casserole. I've made it twice for different people and has been liked by all, young or old. I added 1 cup sour cream to the recipe and mixed all the cheese into the noodles, but other than that, same same. Thank you for the recipe.

Really good! Next time I will saute the onions before combining with the other ingredients. Make sure to put the remaining cheese on before the potato chips. Melts better and doesn't make the chips soggy.

I made a few changes of my own. Instead of egg noodles, I used whole wheat egg noodles! Fantastic. Also, I used one of those big cans of cream of mushroom so it was a little more than the recipe called for and it turned out perfect! Even my picky boyfriend enjoyed it. It made enough for us to have left overs like 3 times. And it was better every time! Good recipe!

Four stars but needs some changes. First, I would suggest dried onions because it does not cook long enough for fresh. Next, cook for 45 minutes on 350. My casserole wasn't warmed all the way through following the recipe. And last, like most other reviewers, I agree this casserole is a bit dry. I added 1/2 c milk but it did not do the trick. All in all, I think there are better tuna casserole recipes on this website.

It really is the best. But I use a whole pound of peas and carrots and two cans of soup. I like to use a can of mushroom soup and a can of cream of chicken. Sometimes extra cheese, because extra cheese is always good. Otherwise its perfect.
