A tangy tuna treat that my family loves to eat. It's fast, easy and the tuna can be substituted with chicken...ummmm!

There's nothing like a warm and comforting casserole to soothe an edgy day. Combine egg noodles with a rich blend of cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, canned tuna, American cheese and chopped onion. Bake with a crust of potato chips and paprika.

No canned soup mix in this recipe! Mushrooms, onions, celery, and peas all go into this comfort casserole.

This was a favorite in my home growing up and now it's a favorite of my family as well. I double the recipe these days for my husband and three children. For a change of pace I add canned chopped green chilies and 1/8 teaspoon cayenne, use pasta shells or spirals, or top the casserole with sliced American or cheddar cheese instead of bread crumbs.

This is easy, filling, and can be quick if you omit the baking step, which I often do.

This isn't your Grandma's tuna casserole, but it is sure to please everybody in the family.
