This recipe was just ok for me. The salsa was a little too much. If I do try again, I'll add a little less salsa and spice it up a bit with some onion and garlic powder.

This is a great recipe! However, I always need to add some more fluid, approx 1/2 cup more and it always turns out perfectly!

I wasn't expecting too much from this recipe, but I was pleasantly surprised! The kids loved it and it goes well with Mexican food. Be sure to use a quality salsa though, in order to avoid that spaghetti sauce/canned flavor you can get from some of the lower quality salsas.

This recipe was really easy and had great flavor! The only problem we had was the rice didn't seem quite done. Next time I will add more liquid and let it cook longer. Other than that it was great! I will definatly use again!

Super easy and delicious! I used all brown rice and medium salsa for a little kick. I will never use the boxed stuff again!

OMG! I always hated spanish rice because my mother cooked it weird. It was always too tangy, but I had fajitas last night and wanted the Mexican dinner feel, so I tried this. I LOVE IT! Thanks so much for a fast easy recipe. The only change I made was I added garlic to the onions. Yum!

Very easy and very good. I've tried it with brown rice and it's not so good. So stick with the recipe.

If I would have known spanish rice was this easy to make, I would have quit making it with the box mixes years ago!

I LOVE Spanish Rice, and I've tried several recipes on this site. I, like others, was a little reluctant, afraid it would just taste like salsa, but was pleasantly surprised that it was awesome!! And as icing on the deliciousness is that it takes no time at all and uses very minimal ingredients. The only alteration I made to the original recipe was that I added about a tablespoon of cumin. Great recipe!!!

I made this to use as filling for meatless stuffed peppers (I usually use a box mix but wanted something without all the additives) but we devoured it before I had a chance to prep the peppers! YUM! Slight modifications: Used just 1 TBLSPN Olive Oil to cut down on calories, 4 TBSPNS of Onion (we like onion!) and a clove of minced garlic. I used a Southwest style salsa I had on hand so the black beans and corn in it was a nice addition. Also used veggie broth instead of chicken and added a few shakes of chili powder & cumin. Thanks for the recipe, I plan on making my own spanish rice from now on!

Yum! I modified this recipe just a bit as well. I used brown rice instead of white and added 3c. of vegetable broth instead of chicken broth because I'm vegetarian. Added in a bit of chili powder, cumin & garlic powder to the onion mixture and this turned out superb! I do recommend a much longer cooking time for brown rice. It takes closer to an hour so be patient.

Just finished making this recipe. We used a salsa that we made from a "Taste from Home" recipe for "chicken with salsa". It had pineapple in it. And then we also added some cilantro, chives, scallions and parsley. It was absolutely delicious and very easy to make. Thanks for the great recipe!

Tastes great! This only takes a few minutes more than making out of a package, but tastes so much better. Used 1c rice and 2c broth, and it still made a ton of rice!
