This recipe doesn't have enough liquid. The rice was not cooked after 25 mins. All the liquid had evaporated and it was burning to the bottom of the pan. I had to stir another 1/2 -3/4 cup broth in to get it tender. Between bringing that back up to a boil and the extra stirring and taking the lid off to keep checking, it came out gummy.

This rice is as easy as it looks, and is very tasty when the recipe is followed exactly. It is super easy to add cooked chicken or pork to for a meal-in-a-pot type recipe. If you want to do this, cook the amount of meat per person you normally would and then mix it into the uncooked rice and salsa and cook them alll together.

This is restaurant style spanish rice, not the sticky, soupy stuff my mom always made. The grains separate from each other and it is not overwhelmed by tomatoes. Perfect!

I would admit i was a little skeptical but this is very very easy and good. I did add some cumin and a little chili powder.

This is a very good starting point for Spanish rice, but it needs more spice. Specifically, it needs chili powder, cumin, garlic, and perhaps paprika. Additionally, it needs some salt added to it. It is a very good recipe to tinker with.

fantastic recipe. I agree it might need a touch more broth to cook fully. A single diced habanero per 1 1/2 cup uncooked rice adds a near-perfect amount of heat

This was the best Spanish rice! I made it exactly as written, except I added just a touch of cumin like someone had suggested. I served it with some sliced black olives and melted some jack cheese on top. It went perfect with the salmon fajitas I served. I will definitely be making this often. Thank you!

I had to make this for 60 kids for Mexican night. Very surprised to see teenagers like it so much. I made one pan with cumin-also good. Great tasting, easy recipe from ingredients that are easy to keep in stock.

This recipe taste as great as it is easy to make. I cook for large groups at church, which means I'm always on the lookout for time saving recipes that the majority of folks like. This is one I'll use again. I prefer my rice not on the 'sticky' side, so I follow this recipe as is, instead of adding any extra liquid, as some suggest.

I used a short grain brown rice that turned out a little sticky/moist than I would have liked. But this was easy and the flavor was good. I used a fresh fire roasted salsa from Costco and it had great fresh flavor.

Delicious!!! Made this recipe almost as directed - I used brown rice instead of white, (therefore cooking time was increased, but no biggy). So tasty, wil; definietly be making again, and again, and again...thank you for sharing.
