Very good- my husband would definitely eat again- his complaint was it was a little dry- Next time I will add more tomatoes when rice is done (This is the way we make "shrimp perloo" ,which my family has made forever,- I was taught to add your tomato product when rice was done or it would toughen your rice)- I used "rotel" (tomatoes with chiles)- added salt, pepper, garlic- flavor developed when dish sat a while- thanks-

I had tried one other Spanish Rice recipe from here that wasn't good. This one ROCKS! We had a spicy salsa so our rice had some 'heat' to it. Very good! This is the one I'll use from now on.

It was good, but I didn't think it was anything hugely special. Tastes like Spanish rice to me.

This rice recipe is very good and versatile. The rice takes on the flavor of the salsa you choose. We used a chipotle salsa that's local here to Texas. Wow! So delicious!!!

This recipe was fast, easy and tastes good. I thought it was missing a little something, so maybe next time I will use hot salsa rather than medium or undrained diced tomatoes with green chilles. Either way it was a good side dish to the enchiladas that I also made from allrecipes.com.

Great recipe for spanish rice. I love that it isn't mushy or wet after the cooking. I had never tried it before serving it at my dad's birthday dinner, but it was a HUGE hit!

Was looking for something simple to go with my chicken enchiladas, but didn't think I'd find a recipe that I had all of the ingredients for...wrong! I had slightly less than 1 1/2 cups rice, but kept the broth the same. Used corn & black bean salsa, and didn't peek at all for the 20 min. It was perfect!! Thanks for a great recipe that I'll use over and over!

I really like this recipe. I made it for the second time tonight. The first time I made it with picante sauce. Tonight I made it with green salsa for something different and loved it too! It's a great go to recipe because I always have these ingredients on hand.

This is THE best, most authentic (from my experiences) spanish rice I have ever had! I did deviate a bit, because I always fail to measure and use my eye instead... I was heavy on olive oil, likely, and used scallion instead of onion. I used Pace Chunky medium salsa, and was a tad light on the rice, maybe. DO NOT UNCOVER the rice!!!!! You must let it do its thing. You also MUST saute, though I did it gradually and never to browning. That seems to give it that extra texture that I love so much. GReat recipe!!! Thank you ilovetocook!

I made this exactly to the recipe and found it pretty bland. Next time I will kick it up some....maybe it needs more salsa or some chopped peppers or something. It would be a good base for a chicken casserole. I served it to 8 people along with chicken enchiladas and I got no comments on it, maybe because my enchiladas are so killer good that the rice paled by comparison!

This spanish rice is very mild but delicious none-the-less. My four year-old loved it. Next time I might try it with some taco seasoning as other reviewers suggested but it is really good exactly as the recipe states.
