Pretty tasty. I did use Moscato because it was the only kind of wine I had. Also, I added about 2 T of sugar to make it sweeter after making/tasting as is.

I have used this recipe numerous times and always with great results. I follow the recipe exactly, except I always add 1T brown sugar per another reviewer, to help decrease the "tanginess" from the canned tomatoes. I am finally getting around to writting a review because last night I made baked ziti (another great recipe from this site) and used one jar of sauce that I got free at the store and one serving of this recipe (I ran out of ingredients at home to double this great sauce.) Well the store bought sauce RUINED my dinner!!! It was tastless and disgusting!! Next time I will run to the store and get the ingredients I need to double this sauce or I will find something else for dinner.....Thanks Jackie for this submission.

Wonderful, added fresh basil ( 2 tsp) and red wine, no white. Really delicious!

This was excellent sauce. I used a 28oz can of crushed tomatoes instead of the stewed tomatoes and a teaspoon of sugar but followed the rest of the recipe. I served it with minced fresh basil generously sprinkled over the sauced pasta. Everyone loved it. Will make this again.

Substituted Ginger Ale for the white wine, but don't use too much otherwise it turns out too runny. Easy, fast, and delicious sauce to make. Plus I've found it's cheaper than the jar stuff.

I chose this recipe for marinara sauce because I wanted to use my new food processor. It was amazing! I ended up adding italian seasoning because I was out of oregano. The wine I used was a cheap Reisling I had on hand. I served the Marinara over Turkey Meatballs.

I made this last night and it was very good, and very easy for someone who has never made tomato sauce before! I did do as some reviewers suggested and added a tablespoon of brown sugar. I also added more garlic, a few bay leaves, and 1/4 tsp red chili flakes for a tiny amount of heat. This recipe is great and I can see it being SO flexible! Add whatever you want once you have created the base recipe - it will turn out amazing!

My absolute favorite go to marinara. Everyone who tries it loves it. I double or triple the ingredients, put them in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4. I freeze leftovers for the next time we need sauce.

I did not care for this recipe. I'm italian. This was not what I consider marinara.
