I gotta say, this is delicious!! If you added more paste, it would be a great pizza sauce. Thanks!!! Dianne

Not bad, but not the best I've had by far. Cut the oil in half, at least; I ended up removing oil slicks off the top with a spoon as it cooked.

Incredible recipe! I don't have a food processor (RIP time to buy a new one)so I used one of those handheld processors. I saute'd the onions and garlic then added in all the rest of the ingredients as well as a tsp. brown sugar. Made the sauce with meatballs for a sandwich, it was great!! Thanks Jackie!

Easy enough, but not very impressive. Will try a different one next time.

Mmmm...delicious recipe. The best way to take the tartness/bitterness out of a tomato sauce is to add a tsp. of baking soda and stir for several minutes. It cuts the acidity of the tomatoes and creates a sweet, smooth sauce.

very good, very easy...i can see adding other veggies to this, finely chopped carrots and sweet peppers and having it still be a 'marinara' not a thick sauce...will make again

I am embarassed to admit I didn't actually READ the directions, I just threw all of the ingredients into a pot on the stove. I did roughly chop the stewed tomatoes, but even so, my sauce turned out more chunky than it was supposed to. It was still excellent! I made recipe as is, but it would be easy to adjust to your personal tastes. Thanks for the great recipe!

I doubled this recpe but made the following changes. I added 20 oz Turkey Italian Sausage and used 3 cloves of garlic. I also just used 1 chopped large onion and only 6 oz of Pinot Grigio. This is a great sauce! I am glad I doubled it because no I have some to freeze :-)

Made this exactly as the recipe instructed and it was incredible! Never made marinara sauce before and my friends were impressed. And they're old school Italians.

I made it for my discriminating husband, and he loved it. I was pleasantly surprised too. It was quite simple and will definitely be making it again.

fantastic sauce! i love the consistency. i sweated (sweat? whatever the past tense of that is) the onions and garlic and then added them to the blender... i also threw in some sauteed cremini mushrooms. tossed in a bay leaf and some basil as well as the oregano, and as someone else suggested, added 1T of brown sugar as the tomatoes on their own are a bit tart. delicious!

This sauce was really yummy! I find at restaurants marinaras seem too runny and watery...this was perfect! I used it for a meatball sandwich recipe and it went perfectly! Nice and thick, I may end up using this sauce on pasta when I go meatless! Thanks! 8D

Amazing sauce. Tastes great with a meatball lasagna I found on this web site. I make double the batch and freeze it in small containers.

I made a 1/2 batch because I needed Marinara Sauce for the Cheesy Italian Tortellini recipe. When I tasted it by itself, it seemed a little lacking. When I used it in the other recipe, it ended up working wonderful and the tortellini came out great.

This was really easy and really good. I sauted the onion and garlic in a little olive oil then put in the blender with the stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce. I also added a pinch of basil and parsley. The consistency of the sauce was perfect!

Good Marinara sauce. But i added 2 cloves of garlic, 1 stalk of celery & saute the onions, garlic & celery with olive oil in pot first to bring out the flavors. I also added sugar, bay leaves & Italian Seasoning after the tomatoes. And i substituted red wine instead of white (U usually use red wine for red sauce). Cooked it for an hour. It turned out great!
