This was "okay" but not worth the effort. It took 9 lemons to make this and was still lacking a bit in flavor. Save yourself the time and pick up Minute Maid Lemonade.

I love this recipe. As some others suggested I put the sugar water mixture in the microwave, instead of the stove, I used about 1 1/4c of sugar. I used about 8 lemons to make 1 1/2c of lemon juice, which I also had to sqeeze by hand. This definitely did not take 4 hours to make. My husband and 3 year old loved it.

Great lemonade, we like an "Arnold Palmer", so I add strong brewed tea to the mix, using 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 tea.

I loved how easy this recipe was; I took the advice of another reviewer and microwaved the water and sugar and put some ice cubes in it to cool it. The only drawback that I could see with this recipe is that it was too sweet for my husband and I so I added less sugar. To make it more to our tastes, I just added some more water and the juice of one extra lemon. Very good!

This is very nice. I have made lemonade with sugar syrup before and I've found that tasting as you go along is the only measure to get it exactly right for your personal preference, because sometimes lemons are more tart. Because of some of the other reviewers saying it was too sweet, I cut the sugar to 1 1/2 cups. I did use the microwave to heat the sugar syrup and added a tray of ice cubes to cool it down quick (in about 3 minutes). I poured the syrup and lemon juice in a jug and poured it into an empty, cleaned 3 Litre juice bottle that we just finished. I then added 8 cups of cold water from the fridge. Again, I shook the bottle at 7 cups of water, tasted, bit too sweet and tartish, so I added another cup of cold water. Perfect. If it is too sweet and you've run out of lemons, try adding more cold water and serve over ice cubes. The tip about letting the lemons sit in warm water for a few minutes really does help with juicing them.

I wasn't sure I was going to be giving this a 5 star, but wow! Really fast and easy and everyone loved it. Said it was just as good as the restaurants and didn't leave a stingy feeling in your throat. (I used less lemon juice and sugar)

I loved this and so did my entire family. I did do a couple of things differently. I added lime juice and cherries and the juice. It was good and my kids are hard to please when it comes to drinks.

I use this recipe all the time. I usually make it with stevia instead of sugar, because we try to avoid sugar and REFUSE to use artificial sweetners. My 18 month old asks for this all the time :) So good! Thanks for sharing!

My family goes CRAZY over this lemonade. It really is different from any other lemonade I've tried. We add strawberries for extra yumminess and it always turns out SO good!

Agree with several other reviewers, the listed recipe is too sweet for me. I used about 2 cups of lemon juice (6 lemons I think?) and 1 1/4 cups of sugar

Really smooth and easy to make. I made it as per the recipe but increased it to serve 50. It was definetley a bit sweet for my taste so next time I will reduce the sugar. I got 3 1/4 cups of lemon jucie from 18 small lemons. I put them in the microwave for 10-20 seconds then rolled them before cutting and juicing them.

Nice and refreshing. I like mine a little tart, so cut down the sugar a bit. A sprig or two of fresh mint gives it a lovely something extra. Fresh mint leaves and sliced star fruit makes a nice presentation in the caraffe of juice.

This really is the 'best lemonade ever'... Although home made lemonade is only 3 simple ingredients, this is just the right proportions... Sweet and tart, not too watery. My favorite is to use Meyer (sweet) lemons. Also, I've put sliced fresh strawberries with sugar, let sit in frige overnight or longer, then add to lemonade for the 'best strawberry lemonade ever'!
