This really is the best lemonade! My friend and I just made it and it was super duper easy! It was a little strong for our tastes, but still good.

This is really GREAT lemonade. The simple syrup was super easy to make. I ended up using a full 2 cups of lemon juice, because we like our lemonade pretty tart, but otherwise followed the directions. Very refreshing!

Really, MSI, haven't you ever heard of simple syrup? Simple syrup is the way cooks incorporate sugar into cold drinks like lemonade, iced tea, mojitos, etc. If you added plain sugar and "mixed it all together," you'd end up with a sugar sludge on the bottom of the glass or pitcher. This is really basic stuff.

Oooh so refreshing. The secret is heating the sugar and water to make syrup. I have a juicer, so that made it super easy for the rest. And good tip on adding the mint leaves from the garden, thanks!

I used 8 lemons and nuked 'em for about 20 seconds to soften them for juicing. Easy and quick. I only added 1 1/4 cp sugar. OMG!!! Sooooo good!!!! I tested it out before our BBQ this weekend, yummy!!!! ITSA KEEPER!!! Mahalo!

After some tweaking to my taste I got this just right. I would say that the recipe as is really didn't do it for me. I found that it tasted too watered down and not tart enough, and I used about half the amount of sugar. After adding more lemon juice, then a bit of sugar I got the tartness and sweetness just right. Then I added crushed up strawberries, so in the end with the alterations it turned out great!

I switched about 2 cups of water for ice so that I could drink it faster. And cut the sugar to 1 2/3 as opposed to 1 3/4. Great recipe easily tweaked to personal preference. Thanks for the recipe!

This was better the longer I refridgerated it...I got too anxious and had my first glass shortly after making it. Good but not great. After a couple hours of chilling it was delicious and I couldn't get enough.

I make this every summer with fresh squeezed lemons. It's easy and refreshing. Reminds me of lemonade my friend's grandma used to make for us when we were kids. We picked the lemons from our backyard lemon tree. Sixty years later, I get my bag of lemons from Costco now.

My husband drinks it all up as soon as I mix it! Just for a lazy time, I mixed the melted sugar/water w/lemon juice without any waiting time. Thanks so much. UPDATE:This recipe calls for only 4 oz servings. I upped the amount and use about half squeezed lemon juice with pulp and half condensed juice in a bottle. Works great and everyone now wants the recipe! Again, thanks, Jo.

I've made this several times. It's perfect just as written, but very forgiving. I was short on lemons, so I squeezed a few limes to make up the difference - delicious! Also, you can cheat a little if you don't want to take the time to make the simple syrup. Just start by putting the sugar in the bottom of the pitcher, then add one cup of very hot water (I nuke it) and stir to dissolve the sugar. If it doesn't completely dissolve, it will when the other 7 cups of water and the juice are added. You can add a little crushed ice into the water to chill it faster, too. A real crowd-pleaser, especially made with fresh lemons!
