Best Ever Sugar Cookies

"For a Thanksgiving treat, cut these cookies with a turkey shaped cookie cutter."

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar. Blend in the sour cream; add dry ingredients.
  4. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness on a sugar and floured surface.
  5. Cut with cookie cutter; bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
