Delicious! I added a few garlic cloves and that was it. Everyone loved it. It makes great sandwiches too.

I just made this recipe tonight, and it really was the best! ... very moist, full of flavor.. I just doubled the sauce ingredents, 1cup of tomato sauce, 2teaspoons of mustard, and only used 1/2 cup packed browned sugar, instead of 1cup. came out perfect, otherwise i think it would have been waaaay to sweet. this will be my new meatloaf recipe! YAY!

I simply do not understand the rave reviews for this recipe. I made it last night and did not deviate from the recipe. I doubled it because of the reviews. I also used the thyme. All four members of my family ate one piece (barely) and I was left with an enormous amount as left-overs. The best that I can say is that it was eatable. I questioned the amount of brown sugar. I should have gone with my instincts. I used 1 cup of tomato sauce and one cup of brown sugar. Not only was the sauce too sweet but it made the entire meatloaf too sweet. What other people referred to as moist I would call mushy. I would not recommend this recipe and would not make it again.

Made this last night and it is finally a meatloaf that my family loves. I changed the servings to 8 to accomodate for 2 lbs of hamburger and instead of 2 3/4 eggs, I used 3. I also used thyme and was generous with the onions.

great recipe. Super moist. Replace 1 tbsp dried parsley with 1 tbsp Tastefully Simple's Bacon Bacon seasoning and it was very tasty.

I made this last night. It was very easy to put together! I used Italian Bread Crumbs instead of the bread. I used ketchup and half of the brown sugar. I extended the time to one hour. It was yummy!

Anna: This is such a tasty recipe. I am so glad that I made it- so moist and well seasoned. I followed your recipe except that I used less than half the amount of sage. In the sauce, I used only 1/4 cup of br. sugar, added Lee & Perrins, a touch of white vinegar, salt and pepper to tone down the sweetness. Wonderful! The next time, I will double the recipe for leftovers!

I have been making this recipe every sense i found it in the Taste of home magazine.I do sub out the tomato sauce for Ketchup when i have no sauce.Work's great. This is the ONLY meatloaf my 2 girl's will eat!!I also make extra glaze as my girl's like extra for a "dipping sauce" for their meatloaf.I just pop the extra glaze in the microwave for a few and it is yummy!! Love this!!

This meat loaf came out very nice. I was skeptical about the brown sugar topping, but it was really tasty. I omitted the onions, since my husband doesn't like them. I would make this again.

Great recipe!!! Husband and Father in law couldnt get enough. I think this will have to be a weekly thing. I did not have brown sugar or tomato sauce at hand so I just put some ketchup on top and it was fantastic. Definitely a keeper. Thanks so much, Kelly, Newport News, VA

Very good meatloaf. I liked the addition of the grated carrot, I think it kept the meatloaf moist. I did cut the amount of brown sugar in the sauce, just for our personal taste.

This recipe turned out great! For the meat I used 3/4 lb ground pork & 3/4 lb ground sirloin. I used 3/4 c bread crumbs and substituted 1 diced jalapeno & 2 chopped fresh mushrooms for the carrot. I also used red onion & cojack cheese. The spice of the jalapeno went great with the sweet sauce. ( I used ketchup in place of the tomato sauce and skimped a little on the brown sugar because other people said the sauce was too sweet.) This is my go to meatloaf recipe from now on.

I didn't have any fresh parsley, so used dried. Instead of the tomato mixture on top, I substituted Big John's Ol West BBQ sauce(made locally in Mellette,SD). It's the BEST BBQ sauce ever!!! It really made the meatloaf something different and good. Very good recipe.

I had never done a meat loaf before. I tried it last night and both my husband and I were very pleased with the flavor. I substituted fresh mushrooms for the carrots. I also added cumin, and garlic. I used only 1/4 of the onion it asked for and the other 1/4 I added green peppers. Taste was extraordinary.

This was a good, solid old-fashioned meatloaf recipe. I really liked the grated carrot in it, and the onion gave a lot of flavor. I used three slices of soft white bread, just rubbed them between my hands until they basically fell apart into fine crumbs. My only addition was some worcestershire sauce in both the meat and the sauce. I didn't really care for the sauce, it was too sweet for my taste, in spite of adding extra mustard and worcestershire. Great meatloaf though!
