I liked these alot, but they are time consuming. I added a cup of Bacon Bits instead of a tablespoon, and I added Hickory seasoning. Then I baked them for 25 minutes at 375.

oh my goodness. these are a little labor intensive but boy are they worth it. first let me say, like she says, wear the gloves. just do it. I mixed 8 ounces of cream cheese, and 8 ounces of fresh grated sharp cheddar. I used fresh cooked bacon - large pieces and mixed in some smoked paprika for that smokey flavor. these were AWESOME. will be making these again and again.

Yummy, I added finely diced onions and garlic to the filling. I also added some of a ranch dip seasoning packet to the flour. I used a mix of panko and garlic bread crumbs for the breading. I blanched the peppers for 2 minutes and deviened them but kept most of the seeds in. I can take a lot of heat but they were too hot for me lol I will take a bit more seeds out next time. Very good I dipped them in my friends homemade strawberry jam... and then drank some milk to cool off. :) Oh and I cooked thick cut bacon for the bacon bits.

holy smokes this is a great little recipe. i decided to plant a few jalapeno plants a few years ago and have made them with this recipe every time. the only thing i do differently is coat them twice in flour, and twice in the breadcrumbs, letting them dry in between. the whole process is a lot of work, but well worth it.

I would like to make this...is there a way they could be baked instead of deep fried? I love jalapeno poppers and this sounds like a wonderful recipe...especially being dipped in bread crumbs more than once...thank you for a great popper recipe.

I made these for the first time today and thought they were great. I used jalapenos from my garden, which makes it alittle more special. I also used 4 strips of bacon that I cooked and crumbled. My husband loved them. I will be using this recipe again!!

I left out the bacon (none on hand but will add next time I make them) and mold the cheese mixture into a dome-like shape over the pepper half....they kind of looked like little eggs. I then froze them in a freezer bag single layer and put this on a plate in the freezer until frozen. I fried them the next evening for guests and everyone raved about them...none left. One person said they wouldn't mind a bag of them in their Christmas goodie bag I give out. I used fresh jalapenos from my garden and added a little onion powder and garlic powder. My husband is English and has never had a popper before, but loves them now! I will definitely be making more for the freezer as I have many peppers to use.
