I can't really complain about this recipie. It's not the 'best' I've ever had, but it's the best I've ever made. There's this diner in Northport, Alabama that makes the best, but I don't know the recipie, so this one will have to do. I used frozen berries and just drained the juice. I also doubled the recipie and used a 9x13 baking dish. The only thing I changed with the ingredients was adding two extra tablespoons to the doubled recipie when mixing the sugar and the berries together. I made it for my family, and they all loved it. I will make it again for sure.

Picked blueberries today at a nearby farm, so this was a very FRESH cobbler! Followed recipe exactly (except used half the butter), and it was great. The OJ does not over-power - so no need to worry about that, but I bet that grape juice tastes great w/ it too (hmm...maybe I'll try that next time). Thanks!

Rave reviews from the crowd. My husband likes his blueberries a little tart so he felt this was a little too sweet. But matched it with some vanilla ice cream and he was a believer too. Would definitely make this again.

Just made this for a nice Sunday breakfast. I LOVE the way this comes out. I had to sub cranberry juice, but I think it works and being similar to the blueberries it might fix that 'orangey' thing people were talking about. I let it cook for the full 40 minutes, it will firm up if you let it cook long enough. I liked the crust. I've had cobbler with the crisp, flakey, flour-and-butter flavored crust and honestly I like this better, almost muffin-y. Will DEFINITELY make again.

Excellent with fresh blueberries. Not overly sweet so you can easily have seconds and finish the whole dish. I will be making this a season favorite.

THIS WAS A HIT WITH MY HUSBAND (AND THATS SAYING A LOT). I USED FRESH BLACKBERRIES AND 4TBS OF SUGAR IN BERRY MIX. I ALSO ADDED 2 DASHES OF NUTMEG AND 1/4TSP OF CINNAMON WHICH WAS SUGGESTED BY SOMEONE ELSE. IT WAS PERFECT. TY

This was very good! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it was runny. Then taste was great! I followed the recipe exactly. Will try again

Great recipe. I used frozen blueberries, right out of the freezer. As suggested by another reviewer, I tossed one and a half tbsps corn starch into the berries to help thicken, and also added 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon, and a few dashes of nutmeg. I baked about 10 mns longer than directed. It was absolutely delicious. Even better the next day. BUT, I definitely suggest making double the batter. I made the amount stated in the recipe and thought the recipe could definitely use more to make it like a standard cobbler.

I thought this recipe was ok. After reading the reviews i decided to up the sugar (I am glad i did) and not use cornstarch because i was using fresh, not frozen berries. My cobbler set up well so i think it's safe to assume that if you use fresh berries, then no cornstarch is needed, and if you use frozen, i would add it. My only complaint is that my cobbler was undercooked in the middle even though i cooked it as directed... so make sure you check the middle really well before you pull it out. Overall, good recipe... not great.... but good.

This is great! The only changes I made were to use a 1 lb bag of frozen blueberries (thawed for 30 minutes) & add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the orange juice before mixing with the berries. I served it warm with vanilla ice cream. I have also made it with only strawberries, and it was great too!

Took the suggestions of others and added more sugar and corn starch. To be honest, I think it could use even more. That said, this was good, especially warm with vanilla ice cream.

I love cobblers and I really enjoyed this recipe. I used frozen blueberries and did not find that the berries were too runny. Next time around, I'm thinking of doubling the batter. As is, it's still a great recipe that I would recommend to anyone!
