I made this with some modifications. I cut down the oil to a 1/3 cup and used 1/4 cup each of brown and white sugar. It turns out great every time!

Definitely believe the hype on this recipe. It is delicious and so very easy to make. Actually, I put the wet recipes in the blender...a little less clean up. The kitchen smelled fantastic. In addition to the nuts, I added a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Delicious! Making it again for my mom when I go down to visit her tomorrow.

I made this Banana Bread and it was great! Super moist and yummy! However, i sustituted the vegetable oil with apple sauce 1 to 1. Super yummy and i added walnuts instead of pecans. Everyone loved it!

I just realized I may have already reviewed this a long time ago, but I always come back to this recipe as a dependable foundation for my banana bread. Because I often end up with two rotten bananas instead of three, I toss in a bit of greek yogurt or apple sauce to make up the difference. I also add cinnamon, and sometimes a bit of cocoa powder. My tip to people like me who never have buttermilk around the house, is that you probably do! Just pour a little splash of white vinegar into a third cup, and pour some milk on top of it. Let it sit for a minute if you want to see it start mixing.

I would agree with most people and it's a very good recipe. I does have a very pronounced crust and it's probably due to the high sugar content. I normally do a receipt with sour cream, but I was out and had some buttermilk so I tried this recipe. I do prefer my recipe with sour cream and it's has a lot less sugar, however, this is great BB and it all comes down to the style of BB you like. Additions: I added 1 tsp Vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Kept everything else the same

This bread was great. I replaced the 1/2 cup of oil with apple sauce, added 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and about a cup of chocolate chips. I think I could have cut the sugar even more (I only used 1 cup and 1/4)! The bread was super moist and delicious.

WOW! I didn't have all ingredients on hand so I substituted eggnog for the buttermilk, brown sugar for the white sugar, used extra virgin coconut oil rather than regular vegetable oil, used three whole bananas, and added 1 cup of chocolate chips, then baked 1 hour at 350F. No kidding, I was in heaven, so to speak! YOU MUST TRY THIS VARIATION!

Add cinnamon chips, use whole wheat flour and almond flour. Used brown sugar! I feel good about giving it 5 stars since I used the same measurements. I am certain had I used white flour, white sugar and not used a partial amount of almond flour ( you can substitute up to 50% of regular flour with almond, hazelnut or oat flour) it would still be outstanding. The ratios of the recipe are perfect..moist moist moist and yummy! Thank you
