This was delicious! I followed the recipe pretty closely but added a clove of minced garlic and a pinch of nutmeg per other reviewers. I'd thought we'd need to add cheese at the end but it was so good we just ate it without.

I added garlic and simmered for between 20 and 30 minutes. I enjoyed this and it tasted especially good topped with cheddar, but some flavor was missing and I'm not sure what.

This was delicious! I kept mine a little chunky like others suggested, and only used a tiny bit of celeriac, because I am not the biggest fan of celery but had some leftover. I also added a little garlic because I love it! It was very tasty and I will be making it again.

I crave this soup! It is really good. I adjust the ingredients a bit (more stock, less milk) and add a lot of thyme and some garlic when I saute the onion. I use a hand blender to puree. Quick, easy, yummy! Thanks!

Very tasty recipe! Minor changes based on other's input: added 2 stalks of celery; used fat free half-n-half (eliminates lots of fat); added a handful of bacon bits; chopped with potato masher. Instead of chicken broth, I used 3 cups of water and 4 tsp of bullion (cheaper). Definately a keeper!

Delicious, even with frozen broccoli I also used evaporated milk, because halfway thru the recipe I discovered that's all I had. Four stars because it needed a big handful of CHEESE!

I love how this broccoli soup doesn't use cheese! I did not add any celery, and took the advice of others and simply mashed it so it stayed chunky. Delicious!!

Awesome and got rave reviews all around. My 3-year old loved it, in-laws loved it, and my husband called it a keeper. Thanks Jessie!

this was very good even though i had to use frozen broccoli. after reading several reviews i used a potato masher, added garlic, and added lemon pepper. i was glad to find a broccoli soup recipe that didnt call for heavy cream or cheese for a change of pace.

I made a variation of this tonight and subbed Silk Unsweetened soy milk(added couple tablespoons of flour for thickening). Kept the broccoli in larger chunks. It is a keeper! I would have tried olive oil to sautee onions and celery, if I was not out of it.

This was excellent. I made my own broth using leftover bones of ham and fat, added celery, carrot, and onions. Simmer for about 3 hours. This is a great make ahead soup, I let it sit in the crock pot until dinner. Served this with homemade yeast rolls. Delish!

Delicious! Very thick, so I ended up adding some extra milk. I like that it didn't have cheese in it.

i use olive oil instead of the margerine, and use fat free mocha mix instead of milk. Great soup, and very low calorie when use my subsitutions.

This a good basic recipe, but needed more oomph for my family's tastes. So, I added 8 oz. grated pepper jack cheese, 4 sliced cloves of garlic, 1 grated carrot and 2 tsp. of worcestershire sauce. The flavor was great!
