These are really good! I'm judging by how easy they were to make combined with the fact I've eaten about 8 of them!!!

I'm 10 years old. I have been inspired t be a pastry chef for a while now. I wanted to show off my skills by making these cookies on my own. I was out of vanilla extract so I used almond extract. They came out perfect they were nice and warm, fun to make, and a quick snack. I will definitely make them again.

These are so simple, quick, and delicious. (As cookies should be!) I'm a college student, but I LOVE cooking. These were superb, so much better than my roommate's usual recipe which involves butter-flavored Crisco. Crisco has no place other than maybe greasing a pan. But I won't go into that rant... Great Recipe, thanks! ;)

I did not like these. I followed recipe to the letter and my cookies didn't spread. They rose like cake. I won't make this again. The search goes on.

Wow, I'm impressed. These cookies turned out incredible and disappeared quickly! The texture was perfect and the dough was easy to work with even at room temperature. For mix-ins, I left out the walnuts and used 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup white chocolate chips. I also added 1/2 tsp cream of tartar to give them attractive cracked tops (as previous reviewers suggested). This is now my new favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!

This is the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe that I have ever made (I have made over 20 recipes). The recipe is PERFECT - I don't know why anyone would change it. If your butter is too soft, of course the cookies will be flat or run. I added macadamia nuts and EVERYONE raved about the cookies.

Just made these cookies, and they are some of the best I have ever made. I used 1/2 cup light brown and 1/2 dark brown sugar, and only 3/4 cup white sugar. I also made them fairly large (twice the size), so it took about 20 minutes to bake them. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Awesome!

I read the negative reviews for these cookies and am not sure what's going on with those reviewers -- my cookies were not "cake-like", nor was the dough like batter allowing the chips to sink to the bottom, nor were they without flavor. They were actually quite good! I got a little more than 4 dozen from the recipe, there was not too much flour, and the only change I made was to leave out the nuts (ick). They are great, soft cookies and I will be making these next time instead of the recipe on the back of the chip bag. :)

Thank you for the recipe, I'm not sure why but mine didn't turn out as well as others. I am so bad at making cookies :( I wish I had the perfect recipe. These tasted a bit flourery and bland but it was probably me. Thanks again.

I recently made a batch of chocolate chip cookies, but they were very thick and cakey. I found this recipe and it's perfect! It's definitely my new go-to recipe for classic chewy chocolate chip cookies.
