This recipe was delicious. Make sure NOT to grease your cookie sheet or the cookies will meld together into one large square.

My wife usually does the baking, so when I told her I was going to make some chocolate chip cookies, she was very skeptical. Se watched as I mixed the ingredients, and poo pooed the whole time. When they were done and she tried one, she has to admit that she was wrong and THESE WERE THE BEST COOKIES EVER! I added cocoa and made THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVER!

It's amazing my only complaint is that the chocolate chips are semisweet and dont taste as nice as if they were just regular. However, if they had regular cocolate chips then it would be way to sugary so there is nothing you can do

I am always searching for the perfect choc. chip cookie recipe and I think I found it with this one!! I made two changes to the recipe which was that I used 1/2 c butter and 1/2 c shortening and I doubled the amount of vanilla (which I do with most cookie recipes). The result was a choc chip cookie with the perfect consistency of crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle!! This recipe is a keeper.

These cookies came out fantastic. The only changes that I made was to add a pinch of cinnamon, use 3/4 cup white sugar and 1 1/4 cups brown and cashew nuts instead of walnuts. Make sure your dough does not start to get too warm. If it does, put it in the frig. for a few minutes and do not handle dough. Great recipe!

They always turn out! We love to mix up the dough and keep it in the fridge. We always have fresh warm cookies! Also, they freeze (baked) beautifully.

very good recipe. some of the reviews state that the cookies flatted a lot. i found that you can't handle the dough at all. so when you scoop the dough up with the spoon just dump it on the pan. don't roll it in your hand. also between each batch make sure to put the dough in the fridge. nake sure to follow the recipe to the T. you can't alter the amounts at all or it won’t work. make sure the butter is a room temperature and do NOT melt it. it doesn't work if you do. i have learned from trial and error. mine turned out wonderful and delicious.

Needed more salt, or they lacked taste for some reason. The texture was as promised. I wish I read the review recommending altering the recipe in favor of more brown sugar than white beforehand.

I have looked for a long time for a decent chocolate chip cookie recipe....I have found it!! I did do the adjustments like less white sugar, more brown & added the cream of tartar...it was like magic! I will use this recipe forever!

I really wanted to like these but, unfortunately, these didn't make the cut for me at all. I didn't change anything except omitting the nuts. They baked REALLY flat & were pretty tasteless-no chocolate chip cookie richness whatsoever. Sorry:(

I followed a previous review and baked the first 4 cookies using only 2 1/4 cups flour for the whole batch, and they came out delicious, but they spread quite a bit. I put another 1/2 cup in the rest of the batter and and they were DELICIOUS! Gotta say, a new fav in my recipe Box! I have always had a tough time making cookies, but these were simple, quick and FANTASTIC! Hubby taking a whole bunch to the office tomorrow or I will eat them ALL!
