It was so yummy and so simple that I gave it a 5! I use it all the time to feed my family.

Great recipe! I used about 3 Tbsp. canola oil & 1 Tbsp. olive oil, and upped the salt to 1.5 tsp. as recommended by others. I'm not sure if there's a difference between "bread machine flour" & bread flour - but I just used the bread flour as usual. I also just used 1 packet of regular yeast. So, SO delicious! The crust is beautifully crunchy, and the inside is fluffy & soft! Also, it smelled DIVINE while baking.

very good slicing bread, easy to make and rises really well. I used regular red star quick rise yeast. Add nuts for texture, a great recipe.

Easy and Good. I wouldn't say great, but still have it 5 stars because it was so easy and still had a good taste. Like another review, I did not have bread machine yeast nor flour. I used regular for both and it turned out fine.

Easy to make - I had all the ingredients on hand. However, my family just didn't rave about this bread. They said it was somewhat tasteless. I'll keep looking for the perfect bread recipe.

WOW!! So I've never made bread before and my parents bought me a bread machine so I thought I'd try this recipe out first! IT'S FANTASTIC!! I added in the extra bit of salt the other poster's recommended...I end up with tall beautiful loafs that are light and airy with a beautiful flaky crust (I didn't even know bread crust could be flaky!!)

The BEST white bread recipe. It is foolproof and very simple. I did substitute warm milk for the water. It came out very tender inside w/ wonderful crust. So simple but flavorful!

I added 3 tbsp sugar because I prefer sweeter bread and used 2 cups of whole wheat bread flour and 1 cup of all purpose flour. I was afraid of using this method because of the instructions that come with the machine, however, I did it this way and it turned out beautifully!! (I even had less yeast then recommended because I ran out - just under 2 tsp). A good solid basic bread recipe.

This bread is absolutely fabulous! I mixed the ingredients adding the yeast last, rather than the way on the recipe, and it was the best bread I have ever made in the machine. We will be making this one often!

This bread is awesome! I used 1.5 tsp salt, and used the basic white bread setting. It is delicious, light, and fluffy. After so many dense, heavy loaves, it's such a relief to find a recipe that turns out like FRESH BAKERY BREAD!

I've made a lot of bread machine bread and this one is my families favorites. I add a little more sugar though...heaping tablespoons full rather than spare. Quick and easy!

This bread was incredible! I just got about a ten year old bread machine from my mom; in working condition, but no handbook. So after reading the comments on this bread I gave it a shot, and it worked perfect! Wonderful white bread!

I too was skeptical about putting the yeast in water but this recipe is a winner! I've made two loaves and both have been wonderfully moist and delicious. I followed earlier suggestion and substituted 1/3 c honey for the sugar.
