This is by far the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe I've ever come across. I've also tried the top rated one on this site with the instant pudding mix in it, but this one FAR outshines that one. The trick to not having flat cookies is definitely letting the dough sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours before baking. I rounded mine into 1 TBSP balls, slightly flattened them, and baked them on a Silpat for 12 minutes, precisely. The result were the most amazing, crispy (but chewy on the inside) cookies that I have ever made. I was so impressed with this recipe that I will pass it down through my family for generations to come!

These chocolate chip cookies were really good, but I still don't think they're "the one". However, I think this will be my go to when I want a chewy cookie! They were easy to make and tasted just like a bakery cookie.

The local Wegman's near my work makes the best cookies! I thought these would be better or close but maybe I did something wrong. I sat a stick of butter out for about a day and melted that along with 1/4 cup margarine in the microwave until liquified, then to cool it off I stuck in freezer for a few minutes. Did everything else exactly as directions/suggestion say. I did leave uncovered in fridge overnight. When I took the dough out of fridge the next morning I cooked a few and they came out round and small. They were good, just not that great. Well, later that evening when I came home from work I had taken the remaining dough out and it was a bit hard, so I put a splash of milk in it and they came out perfect. Still not as great as Wegman's but close. Got a lot of compliments from co-workers.

Overall these are decent. 17 minutes made them too crispy, but they were not done in the middle. I did use two pans in the oven at a time, so next time I won't. I thought the 1 TABLESPOON of vanilla extract was too much... and I was right. I would cut that down to 1 1/2 TEASPOON next time, it's almost overwhelming. I read reviews after I made them, so I will try chilling them first next time too. Decent recipe, just needs a little tweaking.

These are extra yummy! They have a really nice buttery flavor and are nice and soft. I add 1 tsp of baking powder just because I like my cooking fat..hehe! Either way with or without the BP, they are great!

The best cookies I've ever made, SO delicious and chewy. I don't cook them any longer than 15 mins or they get too crunchy. My oven may be too hot though. Love them, thank you!

This is our family's MOST FAVORITE chocolate chip cookie! Make recipe as is, though. I tried to alter it and added 1/2 coconut flour and some xanthan gum - completely dry and NOT good and chewy! KEEP RECIPE AS IS. DO NOT ALTER! It's so phenomenal just the way it is!!

I LOVE this recipe. The cookies come out soft and very very moist. I have been using this recipe for almost a year now and I always get great compliments everytime I make these.
