OMW! These are THE BEST cookies EVER! I added walnutts because I had some on hand. Also, used milk chocolate chips(again what I had). I used an ice cream scoop and got 30 large cookies. This recipe is a true gem!

1st batch is out and 2nd batch is in the oven! The smell is just delicious and I had one straight out from the oven and it was crispy at the edge and soft and slightly chewy in the middle. It is great. However, next time, I may reduce the amount of sugar somewhat as it's a bit too sweet. Also, if you are using brown sugar, best to use the more fine type as I used the granular type and it came out the sugar hasn't completely dissolved. All in all, it's a keeper.

I made this recipe twice - once exactly as it is here, and once with salted butter (instead of unsalted), no added salt later, and brownulated sugar instead of normal packed brown sugar. Honestly, they turned out better the second time.

A batch of these cookies bakin in oven now but used one of reviews advice and chilled dough before bakin (glad I did) and used 1 cup milk chocolate chips and 1 cup semi sweet swirled with white chocolate chips are a major chocolate fix for any chocolate addict I thinkin and hopin my honey liked them

This is the best chewy chocolate chip cookie I've ever tasted. I followed on review and refrigerated the dough. I also added crushed Oreos with the batter and just used 1 cup chocolate chips. 2 cups were too much for me. I baked this for our class project and my teachers loved it! They even asked for the recipe! And another thing, if you don't like flat cookies, hand mix the batter until just blended. Never OVERMIX. Your cookies will turn out flat. And I just baked for 14 minutes and they were perfect and chewy. They will look like they're still undone but just let them cool and they're perfect!

YUM! I made this into one giant "cookie cake" for my son's birthday. I followed other's advice and chilled the "dough" for an hour or so before baking. I blobbed it onto a 15" pizza pan and baked for about 24 minutes. I usually throw out some cake after a party. This was GONE! I only got a tiny sliver and it was really good. I wish I had doubled the batch- just so I had some to enjoy. Thanks for a great recipe!

I don't know what went wrong; for some reason, i followed all instructions, placed spoonfuls of cookie dough onto sheet and baked. the balls didn't settle down while baking, rather they maintained their ball-like shape. I used the full amount of butter (melted) and 1 tsp baking soda. I want to eat my choco chip cookies!

AWESOME COOKIE!!!! I followed this recipe exactly as given and the result was the best chocolate chip cookie to come out of my oven! I even made one giant cookie using almost 1 cup of dough and smahed it down on the pan a bit. It ended up being bigger than my face perfectly baked. I don't think I'll ever use another recipe. Thanks!

These cookies are excellent. I seperated the dough into 36 balls and popped them in the freezer for 30 minutes. This made them firm enough to bake in perfect circles of chocately goodness. I cooked until they just started to brown and them came out beautifully. Great recipe.

I have tried numerous chocolate chip cookie recipes and this is the best one I have ever tried! This recipe results in cookies that are big and soft and they taste fabulous. The only change I made was to add 1 cup of toasted pecans.

Great recipe! I will definitely make it again. I used dairy and soy free butter due to allergies, and sincce it has a low melting point I didn't melt it before mixing. The only criticism I have is that it too much vanilla as written. I'll use way less next time.
