Followed directions exactly, these cookies are cakey......tried it twice. I hate cakey cookies, what a waste.

Oh my these were so delicious and chewy and fat! I agree to cut the chocolate chips, I used 1 1/4 cup and found it more than enough. This is a keeper!

Awesome. I used 1 cup of the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of the white chocolate chips and they are the BEST chocolate chips cookies I've ever made or eaten.

Most cookies I make turn out wonderfully - I'm not sure what went wrong this time. These cookies came out flat and greasy even after refrigerating the dough overnight. They tasted good, but definitely weren't pretty enough for my Christmas cookie plates. If you really want "big, fat, chewy" cookies you may need to use butter flavored shortening instead of butter.

Absolutely gorgeous and simply delicious! Will be my only chocolate chip cookie recipe from here on out! Melted butter is critical for cookies to come out beautifully! Love this recipe!!!!

Great recipe! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because my husband and I thought there should be less chocolate chips, I think next time I will only put in 1 cup instead of 2. Very good though !

I couldn't give up on these after I messed up the first batch...when I tried the second time they were good but lacked something as far as flavor goes. If you have really hard rock cookies then you probably overbaked like I did my first batch! I followed other's advice to remove from oven when they started to set and got better results. Mine weren't very soft after they cooled though...

Great. Easy. Chewy. Delicious. I didn't have the extra egg yolk, and they were still very good. I only got about 28 cookies though. Make sure you take them out when they look JUST set or they won't be as chewy.
