Really good cookie. I used a standard size ice cream scoop (which is 1/4 cup) to measure these out so they would be uniform and bake evenly. I agree that two cups of chocolate chips is way too much for the amount of batter. I will cut back to 1 and 1/2 cups for my next batch.

I have been making these after my freind told me about them for a couple years now. Unlike many recipes, I make them EXACTLY how the recipe says. They are amazing, I always get compliments on them. They are better than many I have had from bakeries. To get the 1/4 cup i just scoop the dough with a 1/4 cup measuring cup and scrape it out of the cup with a tiny rubber scraper. I have read other reviews concerning the time for cooking. I bake them 17 min, they will look slightly uncooked in the middle, but as long as your oven has preheated and you let them set in the pan for a minute, they turn out perfect. Also, one thing I have noticed, they taste their best after they have set overnight wrapped in tin foil on the counter at room temp.

I had really high hopes for this recipe just by all the outstanding reviews but they just turned out ok. The cookies spread out and are very thin even after refrigerating the dough for several hours.

I substituted 1 Cup of wheat flour and only used about 1 1/4 C of chips, half of which were white chocolate. I ended up with a pretty good cookie that was crispy on the outside and chewy in the midddle. I may make again but I think I might like Felix K's chocolate chip cookies a little better (also on this site).

I always add 1 3oz. pkg vanilla pudding mix to help keep cookies soft. Also replace 1/3 of flour with cake flour will make softer cookies. I usually do both. My co workers beg me to bake.

My son (17) made these with delicious results! He added only 1 1/4 cups of semi-sweet chips, and baked them for about 12 minutes, but they were delicious. He says he's never going to buy refrigerated cookie dough again!

All I can say is mmmmm mmmm mmmmmmmmmm! This is just the recipe I've been looking for! I loved the taste, texture and "chewiness" of the cookie! I kept trying to bake yummy "bakery style" cookies for years, but ended up with runny cake batter and flat boring cookies. I liked this recipe because the batter was far from runny, and not too dry. These are amazing. Thank you for the great recipe!

These were pretty good. They tasted better after they were cooled rather than right out of the oven, usually it is the other way around. I didn't have time to refrigarate the dough as others had suggested. 2 cups of chocolate chips is way too much for this amount of batter so I put in about 1.5 cups. Th flavor wasn't as fantastic as I hoped for which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars. It was a soft, somewhat cakey cookie. I baked it on parchment paper so the edges didn't get that slightly brown color I was waiting for. My batter made 14 cookies. Overall, I would say this is a good recipe.

Great! I am making a second batch. These take a while to bake because I can only fit about four on a baking sheet, but they are worth it! My only problem is that the edges got thin and crispy, as opposed to the photo, where the edges appear round and chewy.
