excellent! I used less water than called for only because it was too much for my slow cooker.

De-lish! I did cut back on the rosemary a tad (my preference) but followed everything else. Husband loved it! Thanks for a great recipe!

This was pretty good. I served this on garic bread with mozzerella and fried onions.I think next time I will use blue cheese.

Excellent! The roast came out tender, and the au jus was perfect. Served this on toasted buns with mozza cheese melted on... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

As written, I'd give this 3-4 stars. Add melted provolone, pepperoncini rings (plus some of their juice) and/or horseradish and it's 5 stars all the way. Like a previous reviewer I let everything sit in the fridge overnight then (easily) lifted off the layer of hardened fat.

Rubbed the roast with Montreal Steak Seasoning and browned before putting into the slow cooker to give it an appetizing color. I suggest using low-sodium soy sauce so the salt doesn't overwhelm the other flavors. Use half-beef broth and half-water for the 6 cups of water.

I’m very sorry for the rating, but it came out really hard and the taste was bland, I ended up throwing away more than half. I love soy sauce and many reviewers say it was tender and delicious. I don’t know what did go wrong and I can’t see why I mess up with this easy recipe.

The name says it all! This was delicious. My husband said it tasted better than the beef dip sandwiches you get in a restaurant. I will definitely make this over and over. I also sauteed onions and green pepper in olive oil, then added it to the sandwich with some mozzerella cheese and melted it in the oven for a few minutes. YUM!!!

YUM! My whole family enjoyed this..even the 5 yr old. Only thing I added was some provolone cheese to the sandwiches & toasted them under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Even better w sauteed onion, peppers & mushrooms & a little horseradish. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

This was really good. Of course I messed with it but I'm sure had I left it as is, it would've been wonderful too! Instead of dried rosemary I used 2 sprigs of fresh. It was too much though - next time I'll use just 1 sprig. Also, since I didn't have a whole cup of soy, I used a 1/2 cup but then used a 1/2 cup red wine and decreased the water to 5 cups since 6 was too much for my cooker. I also seared the roast in olive oil before I put it in but everything else was the same. I then toasted some hoagies and we had wonderful French dip! I cooked it for about 6 hours on high (didn't have 10 hours to wait!) and it was tender and juicy - perfect! Then I used the rest of the broth for my vegetable beef soup the next day. This one definitely stays in my recipe box!

This was very good and extremely easy to make! I used light soy sauce since several reviewers seemed to think it was too salty but I think I'll use regular the next time I make this. A tip for the au jus: I thought the taste was much better after I stored it in the refrigerator. All the fat went to the top and turned solid so I removed it and the liquid was more flavorful, in my opinion (and probably healthier).

This was great! I tinkered with the recipe and found that probably should have stuck with the origional. I used 1/2cup light soy sauce and 1/2 cup beef broth. Next time I think I will use a full cup of light soy. Other than that it was WONDERFUL! We will be making this again.

Wow - way too much salt!! Take the recommendations and reduce the soy sauce by half. Otherwise, it is a very tasty and easy meal to make.

This was really great! I used the suggestion of several others and reduced the amount of soy sauce by 1/2. I also just smashed a few cloves of garlic and put in a sprig of fresh rosemary so I really didn't need to strain the jus. Definately a keeper!!!
