Super easy and delicious! I made this for a party and served it as a dip for fresh cut up fruit. People loved it and couldn't believe it when I told them it was just sour cream and brown sugar. I did add a tsp of vanilla and I used dark brown sugar. It had a wonderful, caramel type flavor.

This was luscious. I actually dipped the strawberries in the sour cream (reduced fat) and then the brown sugar. My kids and I ate ourselves silly. This was just.......wonderful.

I made this with nonfat Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream and added a little vanilla - still very delicious and also very healthy. Thanks for a really easy and great dessert/breakfast!

My dad used to make something similar for me when I was little. You can actually find this dessert in some authentic Mexican markets. The only difference is in presentation and preparation. We slice the berries into rounds, pour enough sugar to sweetened over the berries (brown or white is just preference) and then mix in a good amount of sour cream. Let it sit in fridge at least two hours. The flavors emacerate wonderfully and you can fill up your bowls and eat it with a spoon! Some folks will top w/ cinnamon or granola for a tasty breakfast treat.

So simple, yet so delicious! I added a little vanilla extract and it really does have a caramel flavor to it! This is perfect for a quick and easy dessert or when you just want something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Thanks for a great recipe!

After whipping this up I let it sit in the fridge to chill until serving time..which it definitely needed to do. The brown sugar dissolved and it thickened up quite a bit..it was soo good I could of ate it with a spoon!

The cream sauce tastes exactly like Faux Caramel Apple Dip. It was grainy at first, but I left it sit on the counter for about 30 min and the sugar eventually dissolved and was smooth and creamy. I'm not sure it's as complimentary with the strawberries as it would be with apples.

So easy and yummy! I make a similar one from this site (Tina's Fruit Dip) that is similar and slightly better but you have to heat it and wait for it to cool. If you want something quick, easy, and yummy, this is the way to go.
