This is amazing! I was looking for some ways to use up some sour cream and found this. Delicious! I added a dash of cinnamon to it. It's great!

It seemed like such a strange combination, but I can't get enough of it! I used dark brown sugar and added a splash of vanilla. Tastes just like caramel, and is soooo easy to make! I will definitely be making this for our next barbeque!

Sweet memories came to heart. This was my Daddy's favorite dessert. He would use white sugar and add some sliced bananas. YUMMY, I already know what I'm having for breakfast...glad that it's only a few hours away.

I'm not so sure about the caramel dipped strawberries taste. don't get me wrong, this is a nice little dip that takes seconds. But bf thought I used heavy cream, not sour cream, and neither of us thought it included a caramel taste. We did like it, though, and it's a quick and good topping to whip up for fruit, so that alone earns it 5 stars. I'll try CookinginFl's suggestion of dipping in sour cream then rolling in sugar next time. Thanks for the recipe!

I grew up calling this dish Strawberries Romanof. It's really delicious and can be served several ways. Make layers of sliced berries brown sugar and sour cream in a parfait glass or serve whole berries with separate dishes of brown sugar and sour cream for dipping, or combine the sugar and sour cream as directed here. ANY way you do it will be a light and elegant dessert.

I cannot believe that something so simple could be this delicious! I used dark brown sugar and added 1 tsp. of vanilla extract, so it really had an intense caramel taste. It truly does taste like caramel dipped strawberries, and it couldn't be easier. I can't wait to serve this at my next get together as it is unique and yummy!

Well, I have to say that these are good! I actually tried to submit an almost identical recipe of mine under the name "Faux Caramelized Strawberries" - becuase that is exactly what they taste like! I couldn't give this 5 stars because I have tried mixing the sour cream and brown sugar together, but have always gone back to my traditional method, dip the strawberries in the sour cream, then roll in brown sugar (much better tasting). These are always hits at slumber parties! :) Be sure to try this tongue-tricking recipe that seriously tastes like you are eating strawberries dripping in caramel.

This is one of my new FAVORITE sweeties! We dip the strawberries in the sour cream then roll them in the brown sugar. So naughty but so good!!! A must...even if it sounds a little strange you will be hooked! Thanks for sharing!

Very good, easy and inexpensive fruit dip! I used a store brand, low fat sour cream, converted recipe to 5 servings, plenty! It was a wee bit tart (which could have been the low fat sour cream?), but it balanced out with the sweetness. It would be excellent over a bowl of mixed fruit or used on a strawberry shortcake or used on an angel food back with some berries. Definitely would make again!
