Great with steak or any meat, this is one of our best-loved potato sidekicks. Sometimes I add sliced fresh mushrooms and sliced fresh zucchini tossed with a little olive oil after the potatoes have baked about 15 minutes. --Kelly Ward Hartman, Cape Coral, Florida

This sounds like such a simple recipe that many people pass it up ...DON'T! Cooking new potatoes this way makes them taste wonderful, especially with gobs of fresh butter. You must have a cast iron pan to do this. The stove-top browning makes the skins crunchy and out of this world. Originally submitted to ThanksgivingRecipe.com.

These easy-to-prepare potatoes cook up tender and buttery on the stove, and they go so well with Mom's fried fish. I like using red potatoes because they have a little sweetness to them.

MU HUSBAND is a typical 'meat and potatoes' man. Tired of the usual mashed or baked potato treatment, I began to experiment in the kitchen, and this recipe is the result. Potatoes prepared this way go well with an omelet for breakfast or a steak for dinner. -Mary Favatella Becker, Mohnton, Pennsylvania
