I tried several Belgian waffle recipes after getting my iron. In the end, I combined my 1st choice with my husbands favorite to come up with this recipe. 

Eggnog-Raspberry Belgian waffles

Eggnog added to waffle batter adds a touch of holiday flavor to these crisp Belgian waffles topped with warm raspberry preserves and fresh raspberries. Add a dollop of whipped cream if desired for a special Christmas breakfast or brunch.

You can keep the batter, covered, in the fridge for up to a week. Just be sure to whisk well before using again. You may also use whole wheat flour for this recipe.
