DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, mix the soy sauce, beer, water, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Place chicken in the bowl. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator 8 hours, or overnight. Turn chicken once while marinating.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil grate.
Place chicken on the prepared grill, and cook 10 to 15 minutes per side, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Discard remaining marinade.

MY FAVORITE CHICKEN RECIPE! I've been making this for two years now, and it's a family favorite. Yes, it was too salty the first time, but instead of adding the water, I use 1/2 cup soy sauce and 1.5 cup beer, clove of garlic, and skip the salt & pepper. No light beer!

Way too salty!! I used low sodium soy sauce and added no additional salt and it was still way to salty. The chicken was tender, but the saltiness of it overshadowed any good qualities

Very Very good! After reading some of the reviews on how salty this dish was I used only half of the beer and soy sauce. This was very good. my whole family loved it. I served baked potatos and corn with it.

This ended up a little too salty for me. I will try it with low-sodium soy next time.

It was way too salty. I'm not sure if I will make this again, but if I do I will cut down on the soy sauce.

Overall it's good, but it's very salty. I recommend using the low sodium soy sauce and marinating it for only a short time.

Sorry to just echo other reviews, but this is really, really salty (and I have a pretty high tolerance for salt!). The taste was so-so; we won't be making this again.
