This has to be the "Perfect" margarita! Absolutely wonderful! We use either Chill or Corona Light as the beer and good tequila like Patron. Can't wait to have them again!!!!!!!!!

I read this recipe and the reviews out of morbid curiosity. I thought there was no way this was going to be any good. We were having another couple over for dinner, and my husband had marinated the meat for kebabs in a mixture of lime juice with some garlic, herbs and a tiny bit of olive oil. So, this beverage was a perfect preview to the lime-infused shish kebabs. Instead of 12 oz of water, I used about 6 oz of ginger ale, and 6 oz of water. I forgot to use the lime slices as a garnish, but even so, our guests were raving about them. I'll probably make them again when I can afford to buy another bottle of tequila. :)

Wow! A great (and quick) margarita recipe. I'm really impressed!!! I usually only like frozen margaritas, but this, served "on the rocks", is perfect. I'm also surprised b/c I do not like beer (of any kind) at all. Made this tonight with salsa chicken and taco rice (recipes on this site). I followed the recipe to a T (no diet sprite / 7-Up here). Used light Corona (accidentally picked up a 6 pack of light beer) and my bf (who is a beer lover) didn't notice a difference in taste. Made 4 servings, but we had WAY more than 4 margarita glasses full (haha!). DEFINITELY a keeper. Thanks!

Excellent! I'm drinking one right now! I used a high end tequila, but I'd like to try it with a less expensive brand to see if it is just as good!

This is a supper yummy recipe! I used water not lemon/lime soda. I did not want them too sweet. I used 9 oz Cuervo, 3 oz Cointreau, and corona beer. Make sure you double or triple the recipe. They go fast!

I am a Margarita drinker, and have never been able to make one that is both delicious and easy at home. This is by far the easiest and tastiest made at home Margarita ever. I made it just as written and its perfect over ice!!

I made this for book club and was very pleasantly surprised....and I don't even like tequila. Gonna make them again this week-end cause I have a craving. I couldn't decide if I should use water or 7-up so I decided to do half and half. All the girls loved them.

I made these for a Canada Day party we had and they were excellent! I used white tequila and Corona beer and apart from that, didn't change a thing and these were a huge hit.

Holy Tequila, Batman! Made some adjustments the second time around based on the taste of the first batch. Here's what I ended up with. I used Corona for the beer. I'm not a fan of Corona - but it was good in this. Used Sprite for the water and doubled it. Doubling the sprite kills the strong limeaid taste. Used 6 oz of tequila and 6 oz of triple sec instead of the full 12 oz of tequila. Very good with those modifications! And quick too!

These are great! I've tried every margarita concoction out there and time and money wise this is definitely the best! The flavor was great! I tried it with Sprite but we much preferred the water. The ingredients were inexpensive. Plus, I made a few pitchers and they were ready for our dinner guests. No more mixing drinks all night!

Great margaritas! I made these for the first time for the 4th of July and they were a hit! I adjusted the recipe slightly. I used two cans of beer (Coor's Light) -- one can replaced the water. I also added a little Cointreau and fresh orange juice. Thanks for the recipe.

I reluctantly made these only because I thought so many people couldn't be wrong!. They weren't and they are so good. So easy to make when you are having people over. All have been suprised to find out the ingredients and everyone wants the recipe. My only change has been to add 2 shots of simple syrup to the can before adding the water. Delicious

These are the best Margaritas ever!! We add 1 can of diet Sprite and 1 can of Fresca for a not so sweet taste. We have not tried the recipe with the water, but plan to.
