A friend makes something similar, and it is delicious. The difference is he doesn't add water, adds ice-cubes instead and a banana. The rest is pretty much the same. He mixes everything in a blender. Yum!

I too was a bit skeptical about the addition of the beer, although there is no recommendation for a particular beer, we had fun mixing that ingredient up. We made these for my daughter's wedding party, they were a HUGE HIT!!! Definitely keeping this recipe and will reuse over and over. Thank you for the submission.

I liked these A LOT. I used a little less beer because I was afraid of the beer taste, but other than that, I went by the recipe. I would recommend making these if you like your margaritas a little bit sweet. These are both sweet and tart. If you don't like that, try another recipe. I will definitely make this one again, next time maybe even using 7UP in place of water, but still... very good as is... It's better than any of the others on this website that I've tried. Thanks for submitting it!

I was seduced by all the good ratings, but found this to be only an okay recipe. This is a good 'restaurant' margarita... an appleby's margarita if you will, but I'm a firm believer that a margarita should have a nice tequila flavor. This recipe this was too sweet and too bitter. Too much limeade. Adding the beer helped a lot, but it didn't all come together as well as I had hoped in the end unfortunately. Definitely good, just not great.

Made for the first time last night for company. The verdict = Awesome! Added one 12oz. Sprite in place of the water and used Corona for the beer. Will make again & again. Thanks!
