This recipe was really good. I didn't have some of the ingredients on hand so I improvised a little bit and my family loved it! My three year old who is ultra picky ate it up and asked for seconds! I am going to make another batch and freeze it so I can just take it out and heat it up. Prep and cook time was very managable for a quick meal. Less than an hour and a half total. Try italian pork sausage instead of ground beef for a zestier taste.
Easy recipe, another great way to use hamburger. I used 3/4lb of beef and just barely had enough filling for all the pasta. I subbed a can of tomato puree for the tomatoes I didn't have and used a Texas white wine. Nice flavor to the sauce, great budget meal too as it requires few ingredients. The bread crumbs made the filling a bit mealy and odd textured, it didn't hold together at all even after standing 10 min after coming out of the oven. We didn't like it enough to make our favorites list, but it was a nice meal. Thanks!
I made many changes to this per the other reviewers. My whole family loved this. I made my mother-in-law's sauce. I mixed grnd beef and mild italian sausage. I added extra garlic - yum. I added spag sauce and about 3 tbsp of ricotta cheese to the meat/sausage mixture. I threw a couple of tsp of italian seasonings onto the meat mix as well. With all those changes I would give it 5 stars!
Good recipe, will definately use again. I made a few minor changes to the recipe. I made the meat mixture half ground beef and half Italian sausage. I used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese and added a box of frozen spinich, squeezed dry. Also a little Italian seasonings.
I made this for my son's tenth birthday party. The kids gave it rave reviews!

This recipe was great, we customized with our own homemade spaghetti sauce instead of can. It was an all around geat recipe, definitely will try again.
I always enjoy making these. I double the beef as others suggested.
Very yummy as is but the second time i made this I added about 1 cup low fat riccota cheese tot he meat mixture and 1 cup fresh spinich.Made it even better everyone (even my kids) loves this dish i have made it for.Will keep in my recipe box,Thank you for a great recipe :)
