This recipe easily serves 8 adults. I pretested the recipe on my family and they liked it, then I used the "calculate" feature to serve 40 for a church function. It was a hit with everyone, even the kids! Many came back for seconds. I layered all frozen items in a large baking pan, poured the gravy mixture over the top and baked it for 45 minutes. I added onions and cheese and baked an additional 15 minutes. It's easy and very tasty.

followed most of the recipe except instead of the gravy I used cream of mushroom. seasoned the ground beef with pepper and onion powder, very small seasoning salt. then seasoned it once more with pepper after adding green beans (as my veg.) to kill the bland taste they have... Love this recipe!

This recipe was pretty good and definately easy to make. I used pre-made gravy from a jar instead of the water and gravy mix, simply because it was what I had on hand. Also, I used frozen peas instead of mixed veggies also because it was what I had on hand, but it was still good and turned out well.

This dish is not the best looking dish, so it was questionable. My husband really liked it and my older children too. Yes I will make this again. I did use onion gravy mix.

I didn't have hash browns, so I used tator tots and used a can of green beans for the veggies. Husband loved it! He devoured it and took the leftovers for lunch today!

Fast and easy. I served the vegetables on the side.

I added green peppers and onions for the frozen vegtables and I also used southwestern hashbrowns from Simply Potatoes instead of frozen hash browns. I also added some extra french onions and cheese. I was not to sure if we would like it as it cooked, but it was excellent and my husband loved it!

This was good! My husband, the picky eater, even went for seconds, so I knew it was a hit. I used the large hash browns (Cavendish Farms Chunky Diced Potatoes). I omitted the oil, and just lightly coated my casserole dish with cooking spray. I seasoned the hash browns with Club House Italiano Seasoning and increased the initial cook time for the potatoes to 30 minutes. Instead of frozen mixed vegetables, I used 1/2 cup of chopped yellow pepper, 1/2 cup of chopped red pepper and 1 cup green beans. This not only tasted good, but made the dish very colorful! I may double the sauce the next time, as I found there wasn't enough for the potatoes. The leftovers were even better! This will definitely make it to our table again! Thanks for the recipe!

This was ok. Would probably make again, but not one that made my 8 year old rave...(to be fair, he is really picky) My husband liked it so it will make it to the table again. Thanks for sharing.

I had a bag of has browns I wanted to use up. I did add the oil to the potatoes but added salt and pepper. I used one pound of beef but two cups of water and two packets of brown gravy. I didn't add the vegetables or the french onions. I did add about a half of cup of chopped onions to the beef gravy mixture. We enjoyed this.
