I wasn't too sure about adding BBQ sauce to noodles and meat, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good! The only ingredient I added was a diced sweet pepper and I chose to follow the suggestions of some of the other reviews and did not make the cheese sauce separately. I mixed the butter and milk with the cooked noodles and then added them to the meat. After I mixed the noodles and the meat I added the grated cheese and stirred everything together. Super easy and tasted amazing. I have 4 children and they all liked it. I will definitely make this dish again.

This was very tasty and easy. I don't really see the point of making a "sauce" with the cheese. I think adding the cheese alone would have been just fine. Used a full pound of beef and a little more bbq sauce, as well as about 1.5 cups of frozen corn.

I did make some changes to this recipe so I gave it a four star rating. But as I made it, it was a three star. I didn't put enough garlic (I ran out). I didn't make the cheese sauce because of what some of the other reviewers said. I just mixed the cheese up with it not using the milk or butter. As I made this it was bland. I think I will try this as chili mac.

This recipe is a good idea, and VERY easy to make. I give it three stars because the cheese just didn't work as is. I think if you could make the cheese more of a sauce -- smoother and creamier -- it would be much better. I think this is nicely "kid-friendly" though.

Very Tasty, the boys liked it more then me. They want me to make it again so that's good. I baked mine for 15 mins with some cheese on top.

This recipe seemed to be lacking something, like vegetables. I have a similar recipe which adds corn and tomatoes, and it is much better, though still not great. The cheese didn't add much to the dish, because there was just not enough of it and it was mixed throughout. You really couldn't taste it. I think sprinkling a bunch on top and baking/broiling a few minutes would have been much better (although would add more work since this is a stovetop recipe).

I liked this recipe after I tweaked it a bit. I used an entire pound of ground beef and a whole cup of bbq sauce. Also, when I tried making the cheese sauce with the cheddar it turned into a greasy solidified cheese mess so I made my own sauce. I melted a tsp of butter in 1/2 cup of milk and melted in cubes of velveeta. It took about half the box to get it really cheesey. After making these slight changes, it was very yummy. My husband and friends loved it. We did agree its better as a side dish or a "potluck" type dish that a main dish. I will for sure make it again, though!
