I totally did not like this recipe. I didn't care for the taste and neither did the rest of my family. It just tasted weird. Probably nothing wrong with your recipe, but totally not for us.

Quick week night meal just add a veggie on the side. The kids ate without complaint. I used 1 cup of Sweet Baby Ray's original BBQ sauce and a colby cheddar cheese mix for the cheese sauce. It was tasty.

Quick.(half hr from start to finish) Easy. Had everything on hand. Yummy! What else do you need? The only change I made was to add a small can of sliced mushrooms and add enough BBQ sauce to make 1 cup. Will definitely make this again!

I made this for lunch. My daughters and I enjoyed it, but my son did not. I didn't have any trouble with the cheese sauce and made the recipe as written. I will probably make it again.

I like the recipe and my son LOVES it. I don't have any problems with the cheese sauce as listed in the recipe. The key is to keep the pan containing the milk and butter on medium heat when adding the cheese, and stir constantly. Mine has not been lumpy. I also bake mine for about 10 minutes before serving.

I agree that it is odd ingredients, but it came out really great! I didn't make a sauce, but just combined all the ingredients in one pan. I also used egg noodles and added corn and a red bell pepper. Served with corn bread it's awesome!

I made this more like a macaroni and cheese. When making the cheese sauce, I used 1 1/2 cups milk, 1 Tbl butter and 1 Tbl corn starch to thicken the sauce a tad. I also added some corn, 1 lb of group beef and more cayenne pepper as many reviewers suggested. The remainder of the recipe was followed as listed. It was a very good meal.

This recipe was fast, easy, and very tasty! I took the advice of some other reviewers and used a full pound of beef and a whole cup of barbecue sauce. I like mine spicy, so I also added a bit more cayenne pepper. Definitely a crowd pleaser!

I thought this recipe was a little different from your traditional goulosh and wanted to give it a shot. I think it was good, but I think I would opt to switch out my BBQ sauce I used for something with more of a kick. I used sweet baby rays original. I think I would like to use a spicy/tangy version next time. I would also use a little more cyanne pepper and another clove of garlic. I did do the cheese, milk, and butter melted in the pot and then added my noodle and beef mixture. I then sprinkled the cheese on top and put in the over 450 for 5-10 min til melted. I think the milk, cheese mixture helped my sauce from being as sweet as it could have been. I will try this recipe again with a different sauce though.

A few steps up from hamburger helper. Something different than spaghetti to use ground beef, but pretty heavy and fatty. I used a can of Campbell's soup for the cheese which worked out well.

This was an easy tasty meal! I used 2x the milk and cayenne pepper, 1lb of ground sirloin instead of 3/4 lb ground beef, I added mushrooms, and kidney beans, and 4 cloves of garlic instead of 3, Sweet Baby Ray was the BBQ sauce I used, it is was fantastic. It wasn't too sweet or bbq tasting as the other reviewers stated, probably because I added the extra ingredients? I wanted to save time, so I didn't melt the butter, milk, and cheese beforehand, I just added it cold to the mix towards the end, it is was just fine. I also didn't put it in the oven as other reviewers had suggested. I will make this again for sure, it was like homemade hamburger helper, and my boyfriend who hates Hambuger Helper loved this!!!

We didnt care for this one. The barbecue sauce made it too sweet tasting. Ive made a similar one using ketchup or tomato sauce and I usually just use a box of macaroni and cheese for the pasta and cheese sauce.

This was pretty good. I think it would've been better had my barbeque been more tangy and spicy. I had a sweet barbeque on hand, and the flavors didn't mix well. Otherwise, I followed directions and made the cheese sauce, and it turned out just fine. I did put it in the oven for about 10 minutes with some extra cheese on top to give it a little more of a cheese taste, but I think it would've been fine without it.

Despite the reviews, I tried the cheese sauce and it worked out great for me, although i did end up adding another tablespoon or so of milk. I took the advice of another poster and baked it at 450 for 10 mins with about another cup of cheese on top. It came out juicy and cheesy. This is a great, easy recipe that is convenient to have after a long day, and most importantly it makes the kids happy!
