INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat
all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 cups diced onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
cooked rice or noodles

DIRECTIONS
Dredge meat in flour; brown in butter in a Dutch oven. Add the onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Add broth, vinegar, tomato paste and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over rice or noodles.

I usually do not make anything that does not have a review yet but I decided to try this one. The only thing I left out was the lemon pepper, and it was very good. At first it didn't look like it was going to be very good but as it simmered it make a thicker gravy and it was great !!!

Three days after I prepared this, my 18 year old son who hates onions and rarely eats at home still raves about this recipe! I added carrots and potatoes to make it more "stew-ish" and it was pretty sweet, but we all loved this recipe.

This was a fast and tasty meal.All of the family enjoyed it. I did have to thicken it a bit at the end but the meat was very tender.
