I fixed this recipe for my children and they all had to taste the sauce while it was simmering. Unfortunately, the sherry was more than a little overwhelming and they didn't like the finished product. I will definitley make this again, but I'll leave out the sherry. Cyndy

My husband will "never" eat hamburger helper. But he will eat this over and over and over! Tasty and slightly sweet.

I omitted the sherry but it still was quite tasty. My husband says this is like a glorified hamburger helper, but much tastier. My daughters enjoyed this too.

Tasted pretty good but was a bit greasy for my taste. I think I might try reduced fat cheese the next time but over all it's a pretty good recipe. The kids loved it and my hubby really thought it was good! Don't hesitate to give it a try.

I made this tonight & it was great. Didn't have any condensed soup so substituted Progresso plus 1 can of paste. It was great. I will make this again. Good, fast meal. Salad & bread & you;re good to go. Thanks for sharing!

This was pretty good. I used low fat ground beef; low fat/low sodium soup and low fat cheddar. My husband liked it more than I did. I'll make it again to keep him happy!

This recipe was great. My husband loved it, and that's saying a lot. I increased the amount of chop meat used.

This was good. Like Hamburger Helper only better. My husband and kids loved it. I had to make some substitutions. I used cheddar cheese soup instead of the cheese, tomato sauce instead of soup and bowties instead of egg noodles, and it still came out good.

This was super easy to make. My 2 & 4 year olds loved it & so did my VERY picky husband. Reminded me of a gourmet hamburger helper, but not salty & had more flavor. I didn't have any sherry so I put in a red zinfandel instead & it tasted great!

The sherry gives this an unusual flavor.. I might make it with white wine next time. But it's definitely a keeper.. even better the next day as leftovers!

I would not make this recipe again. It was a bit time consuming and tastewise not as good as hoped for. My husband did not care for and he is not a fussy eater.

This was good, but not quite as yummy as I had hoped. I think my problem was that I used a metal pan to bake it in and didn't think to lower the oven temp, so it was overcooked a bit. I'd definitely try it again & be sure to adjust the cooking time & temp.

Yummy!! This is so delicious. I love Hamburger Helper but I feel like a loser if I actually make it. This is a great home made recipe with a couple of gourmet splashes thrown in. I used tomato soup with garlic and herbs(Campbell's) for a little extra flavor. I also cut back on the cheese( and fat). So good.

I really enjoyed this recipe. It was very tasty and easy to prepare. I had the sherry on hand and used it as directed, although I was initially a bit unsure about it and it really worked well. We used a strong-ish cheddar cheese which added a bit of zip to the dish. I'll definately be trying this one again.
