This was good. The only thing I did different was add a little cornstarch mixed with water at the end to thicken it up.

I made this exactly. This was super yummy and talk about easy! Lots of flavor. I would cut back on the pepper next time. I also had to add a cup of water about 1 hour after cooking as most of the liquid had cooked down. I cooked it for 1 1/2 hours and it was nice and tender. I also added a package of fresh mushrooms. Made it in my electric skillet. Served over egg noodles. This is a keeper. Will try it with rice next time.

Very good. The cubes I had were quite big so I halved or tripled nearly all of them so they would be bite sized. This turned out very good and the beef was quite tender. Thanks denisef for the post.

This was really good. I threw everything in the crockpot with the exception of the oil, salt and last cup of water. I waited until about 30minutes before dinner and threw the brown gravy packet in with a tiny bit of flour. It thickened up very nice. It cooked for around 10-11 hours and wasn't salty at all. We served it over mashed taters and the hubby and I were fighting for the leftovers. I think it would be a great start to a shepards pie!! Thanks for the recipe

I used some leftover pot roast gravy instead of the packet. Cooked in pressure cooker then added gravy.

These were so good. I made this in the slowcooker. Through everything in except last cup of water. I thickened it on the stove with cornstarch at the end. Served with mashed potatoes and peas. Yummo.

Good flavor... but very salty, I'd probably cut the soy sauce in half and double the Worcestershire sauce... and not use the extra salt

My entire family loves this! After cooking the meat, I drain the sauce in a sauce pan and add water to bowl my egg noodles in. I then add 2 packages pioneer gravy mix to the meat. I also added mushrooms. It is really good. Thanks for sharing

My family was crazy over this but I agree with the comments about the saltiness. It is too salty. I used reduced amount of soy sauce and worchestershire sauce but should have omitted the salt entirely. I can't wait to try it in the crock pot. Might help to add a note to cut the stew meat into little chunks. The pieces of meat from the grocery store are too big.

I have been looking for a beef tips recipe to replace the ready made beef tips I buy at the store. This is the recipe. It is a keeper. I made no changes to the ingredients in the recipe but I did shorten the cooking time. My husband really enjoyed it. He said they were better than the store bought.

My husband likes beef tips and rice but I don't, this recipe made the dish edible to me. With modifications, this recipe is a keeper! Thank you! I omited the soy sauce, reduced the cooking time and instead of the brown gravy mix I made my own gravy with corn starch and extra liquid left over after cooking. I didn't need to add any more liquid.

I've tried several other beef tip recipes and the meat always turns out dry, but this recipe kept the meat very juicy and tender! I think my husband ate 3 bowls of it! Only thing I stupidly added the gravy mixture in all at the same time (wasn't paying attention to directions)So the gravy never thickened up but it was still yummy! Served over rice. If you do like me and dont end up w/ thick gravy, the juice makes an excellent beef broth for other meals.

I made this last night on a whim b/c we accidentally thawed out beef tips. I left out the onion and the extra salt and it was really good. Served over mashed potatoes with some fresh green beans on the side. Let it simmer for an hour and a half due to last minute scrambling to prepare the dish! The meat was tender and it was oddly addicting. Maybe it was the salt that kept us piling the second helpings on!

It was okay. I held back on the soy sauce as suggested by others and then added sour cream at the end but my husband took one bite and gave me the look which conveyed, "Please don't make this again". I will finish the leftovers for lunch so not to waste however this is a no-go in our household. Side Note: After 1.5 hours the meat was tender.
