Delicious. I grilled my steaks as well and I made the butter/blue cheese mixture the day before and let the flavors marry in the fridge for over 24 hours. I also made homemade garlic croutons (from AR site) as my daughter Abby ate the whole bag I bought to use for this recipe. :)

This was amazing!! I followed the recipe exactly except that I grilled my filets instead of broiling. Will definitely be making again!

Unbelievably spectacular1 I served this to a dinner party of 20 last night, to rave reviews (of course, it helped that hubby grilled the beef perfectly). For a large crowd, I bought 2 whole beef tenderloins at Sam's and asked them to slice it all to the appropriate thickness. For the croutons, I bought a bag of the day-old French bread toasts that they sell at the grocery and crumbled them, then followed the instructions from there (used much less olive oil, not that saving fat or calories is the point in this delicious recipe).

This recipe was the perfect combination of steak and cheese - two of my favourite foods! I'm going to ixnay the butter next time and see what it tastes like with just the blue cheese on the steak. Yummy!

This was amazing! We used 2 8oz fillets so they took about 12 mins or so to cook. The croutons add a nice savory crunch, dont leave them out! Great recipe!

WOW! This is the greatest recipe! Quick and easy and SOOOOO TASTY! I used NY strips and doubled the recipe. It would have been awesome even without the croutons. Next time I'm using filets, no croutons and extra blue cheese/butter sauce! YUM! YUM! YUM!

This was very quick and very tasty. I wrapped a piece of bacon around each fillet and grilled for 8 minutes per side. Everyone loved this!

WOW!! This recipe is one of the best I've tried on this site. It's so quick and simple. The freshly made croutons w/ parmesan adds a nice little crunch that blends perfectly with the blue cheese and steak. YUM! Thank you so much.

WOW! That pretty much covers it. This was a super easy recipe and it tasted delicious!!! There were only two things I did differently, one was to grill the steaks rather than use the broiler. We're very partial to grilled steaks in our house so there was no other option for us. Second difference was to use "I can't believe it's not butter" rather than butter, simply because we did nto have any butter in the house. Having nothing to compare it to, I say it worked just fine. I will definitely make this recipe again!

I followed previous reviews and BBQ'd this, then broiled on high with the croutons topped with cheese mix (added garlic). This recipe seems so hard to make, and will impress all guests, but is so easy! Delicious.

this recipe was so delicious! i did a few things different. i marinated the steaks in a rasberry marinade for about 30 min. Rinsed off all the marinade before broiling. I too added garlic to the blue cheese, but also 2 tablespoons italian cheese mix and 1 tablespoon parmason. Tha rasberry sweetness on the steak complimented so well with the blue cheese. wonderful valentines dinner!

Mmmmmm, this was delicious! I was unsure of not doing anything to the meat but the flavor of the spread was more than enough. I was also unsure about the croutons, but WOW they really added to it. I did two things differently - one was to grill the steak on the BBQ and the other was to add 1 minced clove of garlic to the spread. It didn't look like the spread would be enough for all of our steak (top sirloin) but I had leftovers. Next time I will probably brown the bread whole (without crust) and then serve the steak on top of the bread - that way, when you cut your steak you get a little bit of the bread with each bite. I will DEFINITELY be making this again!!

The only refinement I made was using sourdough bread instead of plain white bread. My husband requested steak with blue cheese for his birthday dinner, and he absolutely loved this.
