I made this for my family, except I used Prego Spaghetti Sauce and mozzerella cheese instead of cheddar. My husband and two young sons LOVED this meal. My husband only recommended I cut the noodles down to about 4-5 cups instead of 7. You could also add taco seasoning to the hamburger and substitute salsa in for the tomato sauce to make it a Mexican Fiesta!! Very yummy!

I made this recipe exactly as it. I give it a two star only because my three year old ate it without complaint, but otherwise, no one else in my family enjoyed this meal and would have given it a one star for 'edible'. Everything looked great until it came out of the oven. All the juices were gone and it was both dry in its taste and appearance. It may have been better eaten without being placed in the oven for 30 minutes. Something is missing in this recipe or the instructions need to be changed, but as is, it was not enjoyed by my family.

My family loved this recipe and so did I! It was perfectly creamy and yummy. Comfort food at its best. I used ground turkey and added 1 stalk of celery, onion, garlic, and 1/2 of a green bell pepper. I used seasoned salt instead of the garlic salt and I added a tsp. of chili powder. I used a blend of sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheeses and sprinkled the top with fresh minced parsley. I think the amount of cheese in the recipe is the perfect amount and I didn't think it needed more, like so many others did. This wonderful recipe will be made again and again. My hubby usually doesn't love these types of dishes like I do, but he raved about this one and said he couldn't stop eating it-we fought over the leftovers. Thank You!

My family loved this dish. I did season my beef when I browned it, but followed the directions after that exactly. I have made it again with a can of Italian flavored sauce and they liked that too. For those who thought it was dry - did you make sure your noodles were covered in the sauce mix? My teens even asked me to make it again. Thanks.

This recipe is really good! Of course, it's a given that you have to season to your liking as you go along, but my family and I love it.

I made a few changes based on the previous reviews, and we really enjoyed the meal! I made healthier substitutions: ground turkey, cholesterol free egg noodles, fat free cream cheese, fat free sour cream, and 2% cheddar cheese. I also added about 1/2 or 3/4 tsp Italian seasoning, plus 1/4 tsp pepper. I only used 4 cups of noodles and baked it for 15 minutes, which kept it moist and tender.

This recipe was edible, but extremely bland. Neither I nor my fiance finished our single helping and ended up throwing away the rest. It wasn't so much that it tasted bad as it just didn't have much flavor at all. The only thing you could taste were the onions when you got one in a bite. I definitely won't be fixing this again.
